Vinny & Son Pizza (Andover) — Restaurant in Andover

Stopped in based on reviews. We are not local, but needed a place to eat after visiting Grandma at a nearby physical rehab facility. We had a 3 hour drive home so we wanted to grab something before heading home. Gotta say, they reviews were right! The food was delicious. My son, who is autistic and therefore a picky eater, would not stop raving about this burger for three days. He said if was the best burger he ever had (not that he is a connoisseur, but still, he is 18 and has eaten lots of burgers). He says he wished that Vinny and Sons would open a location in Delaware. 😀 It isn't the typical sit down restaurant that I thought if would be, but I didnt really read the info at length before stopping in. I just saw the great food reviews and stopped in. There are 3 tables, so it's obviously more of a take out kind of place, but it was very nice that they had provided a few for anyone who wanted to sit and eat (we preferred to eat at a table than in our car). The service was wonderful and then place was very clean. Lots of variety with the menu choices and a nice selection of grab and go drinks from the refrigerator case (plus fountain soda). My wife & I went to Vinny & Son Pizzeria and Restaurant for the first time after reading an excellent review on this restaurant in a local neighborhood publication. We were extremely happy with all the food we had. Everything was delicious! We both started with a salad, which comes complimentary with an entree. The Ceasar & French dressings were very good. We ordered a personal size regular pizza for an appetizer, which was also delicious. The crust was thin, the cheese was stringy, and sauce was excellent. My wife requested grilled shrimp over spaghetti with pink Vodka sauce, which was not on the menu, but the chef gladly made it for her. She said it was outstanding! The pink Vodka sauce was delicious, the shrimp were large and meaty, and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Rigatoni alla Bolognese, which was also delicious. Tonight was the second time trying Vinny & Son. I waited to review. I waited because I didn't want to be unfair to this staff and their hard work especially with Covid to consider. My first trip, I ordered 2 pies, was told 20 mins and waited over an hour. They weren't raging aholes about it unlike a certain other joint in the area. The owner simply looked at me and told me the deal and I waited. All good... especially if it's worth waiting for. It was. I had a sicilian and a buffalo chicken pie. The Sicilian is hands down the best in the Byram area. You may say another is better but you'd be wrong.

That was all the first trip. Today was the second. This time I was told 30 mins up front. Cool. I get there in 30, order is done and waiting when I arrive.
