We LOVE wingin it in Fuquay and could not wait to try out the one in Angier. This is our third, and final, visit.
The first two times we chalked it up to them just opening, which is understandable. Not this time.
We sat at the bar tonight to have a drink and order some to-go food. I believe Angie was serving us (thatâs what my receipt said, she never told us her name and had no tag). We ordered a house whiskey as a pickle-back, a Dr.Pepper, shot of fireball and a strawberry mule that was advertised as the special out front. She started to make a whiskey and coke, but my partner stopped her when she said what she was doing and said no, no coke. She was clearly confused and had already poured his shot over ice, so he just took that. Never got any pickle juice. They started to make my drink, but come to find out no ginger beer. The bar manager/FOH manager was super nice and made me a different drink and it was good.
We waited a significant amount of time to order food. We finally interrupted her when she was putting an order in the POS system and she told us just a moment so she doesnât forget. I hope their food was right đ€Ł we happily waited⊠we know the service industry is tough and short staffed at the moment. It took her about 10 minutes to figure that order out. Iâm guessing she was new maybe.
She finally takes our order. I tell her my app and my food (simple cheese curds, bbq boneless wings with ranch) could tell she was having a tough time so I paused while she was looking for cheese curds and repeated when she asked, and told her a side Caesar as well. To go.
My partner then tells her he would like a Philly, but only with mayo, tomato and lettuce. Let me tell you⊠she was confused and had SUCH an attitude (she did most of the time). Guess what came out wrong đ we got charged .50 cents for the mayo, didnât get it. Mushrooms and onions were still on it too.
She also somehow never put in my cheese curds⊠which is the first thing I ordered. What in the world.
The front of the house manager was super nice. We didnât make a big stink, but we didnât realize his sandwich was wrong until we got home too. He just told her they could do better.
My wings were fine, my salad is a salad. Didnât get my fav menu item and wasnât about to wait another 20 minutes while the food got cold bc she canât take a simple order while literally standing at the POS system.
Absolutely would not recommend this location whatsoever. Thereâs nothing about this that...
Read moreFor years, Iâve been on a quest as a self-proclaimed chicken wing and hot sauce connoisseur, chasing the ultimate spicy experience from the sunny coasts of California to the vibrant Carolinas. Iâve tried countless wings and sauces, from blistering ghost pepper blends to tangy classics, but nothing prepared me for the fiery masterpiece that is Kickin' Chicken. Their Volcanic Buffalo sauce is a revelationâan explosive eruption of flavor that hits your taste buds like a flavor volcano, balancing intense heat with a rich, savory depth that lingers long after the first bite. Youâll be sweating, maybe even shedding a tear, but youâll also be grinning ear to ear because these wings are that good. The wings themselves are perfection: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated generously with sauce that clings just right. The Volcanic Buffalo is the star of the show, but every sauce I tried was bursting with bold, unique flavors that showcase the creativity and passion behind the menu. This isnât just foodâitâs an experience, one that demands you say a quick prayer before diving in, knowing youâre about to embark on a spicy adventure. What elevates Kickin' Chicken beyond its phenomenal food is the atmosphere. This place is a hidden gem with an electric vibeâthink lively music, warm lighting, and a crowd of fellow wing enthusiasts sharing in the spicy joy. The staff? Absolute rockstars. Theyâre friendly, quick with recommendations, and genuinely excited to see you take on their hottest offerings. Whether youâre a local or just passing through, Kickin' Chicken is a must-visit destination. Iâd drive hours for these wings, and trust me, you will too once you taste them. This isnât just a restaurantâitâs a pilgrimage for wing lovers. Donât miss out on one of the best culinary experiences...

I had the pleasure of dining at Wingin it last weekend, and I have to sayâwhile the food was excellent, it was the service from our server, Jaylin, that truly made the evening special.
From the moment we were seated, Jaylin greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm that instantly made us feel welcome. She was attentive without being intrusive, always appearing at just the right time to check in or refill our drinks. Jaylin knew the menu inside and out, offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes (the chefâs special she suggested was incredible!).
What stood out most was her professionalism paired with a kind, personable approach. Whether it was accommodating dietary preferences or handling our questions with patience, Jaylin made sure every part of our experience felt effortless. She even noticed we were celebrating a birthday and surprised us with a small dessert on the houseâsuch a thoughtful gesture!
Itâs rare to find a server who strikes the perfect balance between efficiency and warmth, but Jaylin did just that. She turned a great meal into an exceptional evening, and weâll definitely be requesting her next time we come back.
Highly recommend both the restaurant and, if you can, ask for Jaylinâyou wonât be...
