Went to this Krispy Kreme at 9:30pm looking for a couple of dozens of original glazed donuts. I wasn't greeted at the door, and when someone finally did acknowledge me and my friends they told us the servers were down so they weren't sure what to do. They asked if we had cash or card, because card would not work. We had cash, but the server then said they wouldn't be able to take cash either. Confused, we stood there unsure if they were going to serve us or not. After standing around for what seemed like forever, another server approached us. She didn't say anything, so I said "The servers are down?" She said, "Yes... so I don't know how to do change." She then asked what we wanted, as she reached for a bag as if she was going to serve us. She then stopped, and just looked at me. I finally had to ask if I was going to be able to buy donuts today, and she kind of scrunched her face without saying anything - I still didn't even get a straight answer. I understand that system issues occur, and I absolutely understand that it might have been hard to figure out change, orders, etc., but we stood around like idiots because we weren't sure if we were going to be able to buy the simple donuts we came for. Maybe next time you should turn your open sign off or maybe have the decency to write a note and post it on the door to let people know. Funny how they close at...
Read moreI tried to order their promo for twosday march 5 on the regular website there was no link to go straight to the promo. It advertised it and said order now. It took me to the site but had no link for the 2 glazed donuts. The spot for the code did not work on the website or DoorDash. I even tried ordering a dozen, 6, or 3 glazed original donuts thinking the code would take two off but it said code is not eligible in door dash and on the website items in basket are not eligible. I called the store and asked which method people were using and to make sure the promo was going on. They said any app would work. The first time I called around 1 and they said they were all out and I explained I was done with errands and didn’t want to wait an hour. Then I called after 3 and the manger said shed put the option for the glazed back on. I tried numerous times throughout the day to order. The manger said she could only initiate the code online for pickup even though the promo said it would work online etheir way for delivery or pickup. They offered nothing for the inconveniences. Were more concerned about in store orders than customer service. Never ordering from this location again. Multiple calls and speaking with the same manager over and over- poor service for ankeny. Read moreStaff were all in the back and didn’t notice us entering for a few minutes. There were very, very few donuts to choose from despite it only being 9AM. When we explained we had never been to a Krispy Kreme before, we were rudely told the box size options and stared at expectedly. I want to note that we were the only guests in the building except one gentleman who had already been helped, so we were not slowing down/troubling other guests and our entire visit was maybe 2 minutes once staff noticed us. When we asked about blended coffee, staff looked at each other and then said they were out of coffee. I suspect from the other reviews staff don’t want the hassle of blended coffee as this seems to be a pattern and it felt like an inorganic response. It was evident staff wanted to be in the back talking amongst themselves and did not want to service customers as our entire visit felt like an inconvenience. We will not be returning and would urge others to avoid a business that treats you like a burden. Also, our filled donut was almost completely empty...
