I have heard a lot of Good things about this place so I decided to drive 1 hour from my hometown to try it. I honestly thought that the food was good, and I’d like to go back to try more dishes. But the service I received ?? 0/10 I’m black and my friend is white. During our whole dining experience there was one older Asian lady (maybe Korean) who was overly rude to me the whole time with sly unnecessary rude comments , but she was friendly to my friend. It made us both uncomfortable and I was going to just leave but because I drove an hour I wanted to at least try the food. For an example I asked her if she had any recommendations she stared at me like she was annoyed with me and then said “ we have what’s on the menu “ what kind of customer service is that ? Then I ordered the fried rice and asked if getting the Korean spicy chicken in the fried rice was an option which I thought was a reasonable question and her response was “ how do you make fried rice at home ? Do you put spicy chicken in it ? Well we don’t here choose from the options you see on the menu “ . And because I wasn’t sure what to order she just ignored me and took my friends order instead and put his order in instead of waiting for us both to be ready to order so then his food came out a lot sooner than mine. She created a very uncomfortable atmosphere for me and my friend for our first experience. I’ll probably never come back but I will say the food was good. Pancakes were especially amazing. I’d like to note there was another Asian lady working in there that came to our table every once in a while and she was friendly. I was also taking videos of my food and my friends food to post online and you can even hear how rude she was being to me in the background. It’s too bad because it seems like this place has great food but if you don’t care about being treated like a dog then go ahead and try...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem of a diner that is located right next door to Stadium Hardware on the West Side of A2.
I'm not sure if this place is family run and used to be an Asian Cuisine establishment but it appears to be run by an Asian American family, as an American Diner with some Asian flair.
The place was super clean and the older gentleman that hosted us was very pleasant and he wore a walk even though he didn't have to at this point in the pandemic. He eagerly took our drinks and in a flash brought them back on what appeared to be old school 7-Eleven Big Gulp styrofoam cups.
The gentleman was attentive and noticed the exact moment we put our menus down. Within a couple montes he was there to ask for out order.
We ordered the Mexican Omelette with Rye toast but they were out of Rye so he offered Sourdough. Our next order was the Kitchen Sink omelette. I ordered it with the potatoes on the side though and a side of sausage.
In about 10 minutes the Mexican Omelette came along with my side of sausage on hash browns (Fried to perfection!). Another five minutes later my Kitchen Sink Omelette came!
The food was really good diner food. The quantities were great too. The staff was pleasant and the joint was clean.
I would highly recommend this place simply based on their breakfast! Support a local business and...

I was introduced to this little gem about 7-8 years ago and I have never been disappointed in my visit. It is my go to.
The food is Korean/American combo. So, the usual American diner fare, sandwiches, breakfast fare, etc and then the Korean menu! The Korean menu is a bit smaller, but still plenty of authentic options! Noodle dishes, bento boxes, fried rice, Bibimbap, Japchae, Bulgogi!
My partner LOVES The Kitchen Sink omelette! It’s really the the whole kitchen sink too so make sure your appetite can match! I usually stick to the Korean menu. I’ve had the Jopchae, Bibimbap, Bulgogi, Mandu…it’s all absolutely delicious!! Oh! And the cucumber kimchi! If you have never tried it, this is the place to try cucumber kimchi!!
It’s become one of my favorite places not only because of the mouth watering food, the super reasonable prices, but for the people. The staff are always so friendly when we are there and they will ask you how you are and mean it. If you like the place and the food, come back. They will remember you.
I didn’t think she would remember me or the small exchanges when I’m there, but the photo of the little brown paper bag of kimchi told me otherwise. Truly are nice people that...
