I had an INCREDIBLE experience today at Big City Small World Bakery. My dog had escaped his harness (something that has never happened before) and the owner of BCSW Bakery came to my aid. My dog could have run into the nearby busy street if it had not been for the owner's quick thinking. In regards to their coffee, it was delicious! I ordered an iced mocha & it was fantastic. I am blown away by the customer service & am so grateful the owner came to my dog's rescue. My dog means the world to me & I am glad everything turned out alright. The next time I plan to get a coffee instead of visiting Starbucks or Sweetwaters I am going to visit BCSW bakery. How lucky we are to have such an amazing local coffee shop/bakery...

Every time I come into Big City Small World I feel like I'm a child entering my grandparents house for Thanksgiving - warm, invited, and ready to eat some amazing food. Big City's sweet treats are the best around, so many gluten free and vegan options (and good gluten free and vegan options, not having to settle for less than to fit your dietary preferences). Their espresso is amazing and buttery, and their lunch options are always filling. But above all, the owner (Scott?) always puts a smile on your face. Came in with high hopes, even ordered with the same high hopes. Took a bite of the chocolate/raspberry cake and could barely swallow it. I love sweets and will eat a baked good even if it isn’t my favorite, but this just had such terrible flavor I’m not even sure what it was. It didn’t taste like chocolate or raspberry. It was $5 for the slice I got, after having that, I’m glad I didn’t spend $14 on the chocolate mouse cake. Yikes. They have a lot of gluten free baked goods, which I don’t need or care for, but maybe that’s their thing here. I asked if it was gluten free and was told no, it wasn’t, but icky, it wasn’t good.
