This is one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The gentleman who sat us was totally disinterested. I went to the ladies room to wash my hands before dinner and it smelled so bad that I almost threw up. I thought this was perhaps a one off until my husband said he experienced the same thing in the men's room. The salsa tasted like sweet marinara sauce. We ordered a tomato and fresh mozzarella salad. The server brought out 4 plates, 2 of which were dirty. When we nicely pointed out the 2 dirty plates and asked for 2 clean ones, we were looked at like we were in the wrong for wanting clean plates to eat from. My mushroom quesadillas were inedible. My husband tried a piece of one, but couldn't bring himself to finish it either. I asked for a coke after my water tasted strange. It was flat and watery. I'm not even sure how they accomplished this. I ordered a side of rice and beans and they didn't bring them. When I politely asked for them and were given an attitude. My father and I couldn't get a refill on our sodas even though they are supposed to be free. We tried to get the attention of the servers on multiple occasions and were ignored each time. When we expressed that we felt we were given poor service from the start and all the way through our dining experience to ouroriginal server, who also appeared to be the manager, we were told that he was busy making drinks behind the bar and thought someone else was taking care of us. We were not given an apology, offered any compensation for the horrible dining experience, or even really acknowledged. With the subpar, overpriced food, horrific customer service, and stinky washrooms, I honestly don't know how this place is in business. Save your money, your time, and your stomach and skip...
Read moreA good Mexican restaurant is one that not only serves delicious food, but also creates a welcoming and authentic atmosphere. When dining at a Mexican restaurant, there are several key elements to look for to ensure that the overall experience is a positive one.
First and foremost, a good Mexican restaurant should serve fresh, high-quality ingredients. This means using locally sourced produce and meats, as well as traditional Mexican spices and herbs to create bold and flavorful dishes. From tacos and enchiladas to tamales and chiles rellenos, a good Mexican restaurant should have a diverse menu that showcases the best of Mexican cuisine.
In addition to the food, a good Mexican restaurant should also have a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. This can be achieved through the use of colorful decorations, such as painted murals and traditional Mexican textiles, as well as live music or other cultural elements that create a festive atmosphere.
Another important aspect of a good Mexican restaurant is attentive and friendly service. This means having staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and willing to make recommendations or accommodate special requests. It also means being patient and understanding when it comes to explaining menu items or answering questions about ingredients or preparation.
Finally, a good Mexican restaurant should be clean and well-maintained, with a focus on both the dining area and the kitchen. This ensures that diners can enjoy their meals in a comfortable and sanitary environment.
In conclusion, a good Mexican restaurant is one that serves delicious, high-quality food in a welcoming and authentic atmosphere, with attentive and friendly service and a clean and well-maintained environment and tequila...
Read moreWe were very hopeful, but they missed every thing we look for in a Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa took 8 mins (we were one of three tables in the restaurant with 2 wait staff and manager present), chips were barely warm. Margaritas were severely watered down to the point that they barely had taste at all. 'Ranchero' sauce on my burrito tasted exactly like marinara sauce I would have gotten with fried cheese sticks (which ironically are on the menu). Portions are relatively small especially for the price. Refried beans had pretty much no flavor, I've had more out of the can. The rice had veggies in it which looked exactly like frozen peas, diced carrots (who cuts carrots into little cubes fresh?), and green beans. Their salsa wasn't bad, had a good cilantro taste. And they made a hotter sauce to add which was actually quite good, better than the salsa actually. We also ordered queso with ground beef. Overall the cheese was good and it had good spicea/heat to it, but soon the separarion of the beef and cheese by grease became unappealing. My chicken burrito wasn't bad. The chicken was soft and in chunks, but it had zero grilled flavor or crisp, I saw zero difference between it and prepackaged cooked chicken from the grocery store. My wife's beef enchiladas were also unremarkable according to her. Overall, we are very hopeful that this is just the beginning and will improve, but with so many great Mexican restaurants in the area such as our current favorite, LA Sierra, it is going to take a lot more flavor and effort. Final note: it was odd that the kitchen had Spanish music for the workers in the back, but there was no music in the dining area, making it very quiet and...
