HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE (please read): I have been a customer since I was a child. My girlfriend and I entered “Bagels and...” where there was a line and everybody was socially distanced and wearing masks (us included). Standing in line together with my arm around her shoulders, the owner yells from behind the counter to us that we “cannot touch” and need to be 6 feet apart due to the health departments orders. I explained to him that we live in the same household, and could confirm our address with our Maryland IDs. Both the CDC and the Health Department state that the “social distance” recommendations do NOT include people in same households. Plus, even if I wanted to there was a woman 6 feet behind us in line who was backed up against the door and I would not encroach on her space. The owner was WRONG because if this was the case, Annapolis restaurants wouldn’t be able to seat households together (which they are). After ordering and paying, he began to yell at me again and told me that I had to stand outside while my girlfriend had to wait inside for the food. I waited outside out of pure disgust of the owner’s actions. Other patrons approached me and told me I was correct in what I was saying, and to just “respect” his rules because he is the owner. This is not the first time this old grumpy man has had a poor sour attitude and other reviews on multiple websites are reflective of this. Good riddance, taking my business to Naval Bagels which is much...
Read moreOk. This is the best bagel place, better than lots in nyc or Rockville. They’re the real deal. They DO have a totally real NYC attitude style, and please just make that part of the experience and ambiance. You might get yelled at. They probably will grab your payment and shove you for the next person in line, but who cares. Don’t care. That’s how it’s done, it’s part of the journey, great to always expect and never get disappointed. Ppl we know swap great stories of who got treated the worst. It’s a badge of knowing your local colors. Don’t whine when you get in line. It’s a N.Y. thing. But seriously, this isn’t soft bread with a hole in it as 99% of bagels commercially available are. The outside has the proper shine and crust crack (if you know, you know), inside dense enough to hold onto anything you put on it but just pliable enough to bend, crack and eat by itself if you can’t wait till you get home. Make sure you stock up and know how to freeze: each flavor in its own freezer bag, paper towel in each bag, freeze what you won’t consume in a day, maybe two tops. Fridge bagging, lunch, any storage needs paper towel or cloth to absorb moisture. Just wish so bad they had flats and bialys! Just GO. Weird hours, too. When they make you feel unwelcome, you’ve found NYC in...
Read moreI recently visited Bagels and… in Annapolis, and I have to say, this is hands down one of the best bagel shops in the area! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest and most polite staff I’ve ever encountered. Fernando, Sherlyn, Abraham, and Larz went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The employees were not only efficient but genuinely seemed to care about providing excellent customer service. They made me feel welcome and appreciated as a customer, which is something you don’t experience everywhere.
Now, let’s talk about the bagels—they are absolutely incredible! Fresh, perfectly toasted, with the ideal blend of chewiness and flavor. I’ve been to many bagel shops, but Bagels and… might just be my new favorite. I’ve always been a fan of Naval Bagels next door, but I have to say, this place gives them a serious run for their money. In fact, Bagels and… might even be better!
The combination of fantastic food and amazing service is rare to come by, but Bagels and… nails it! I will absolutely be a repeat customer. If you’re in Annapolis and haven’t tried this place yet, you’re missing out on something special. Huge thanks to the incredible staff for making my experience...
