Club 300 - Understanding that you’re under new ownership as of 2024.
First experience prior to 2024 we left disappointed. They were just having a bad night.
Second experience in 2024 is worse than the first. Drinks took forever and got mixed up, with another table. Food came on top of each other. Food was cold. Bathrooms were dirty and neglected. Paid with a credit card leaving 20% cash tip on the table. After credit card statement didn’t match with charges, called restaurant and was told the server had written an additional 20% on her own in the tip section on the credit card. Management reversed the tip charges. Glad we had the physical credit card receipt copy.
Third experience, February 15, 2025 - absolute shit show of an operation. Reserved a table for 6:30. Arrived on time. Table was by the front door. After being seated, realized I was getting cold right away and asked to be moved away from the front door draft. Was told by the young hostess no.
There were other high top tables by the front door. Other customers arrived after us. One couple was seated at the high top table by the front door. Another table opened up away from the front. They asked to be moved. They were moved to the table they requested.
We asked to be moved to the far corner table that had opened up. We were told it was reserved. It stayed open the whole time we were eating and we were eating amongst various other tables that had opened up.
Drinks took forever to get - was told bar was backed up. Ordered old fashioned and a pinot grigio. For dinner, we chose the couples four-course dinner option that was offered to include stuffed mushrooms, lobster bisque and salad, and chateaubriand for two.
Stuffed mushrooms came out cold. Asked hostess for side plates. They never arrived.
Ordered the lobster bisque soup. Told they were out. Changed to a salad. Salad was the only thing that was good.
At 8:30, two hours after we were seated, we were told our entree was given to another table. We were asked to choose substitutes; however, the prime rib was not an option because they were out. Chose linguini seafood for one and tortellini for the other. Lingini pasta arrived with no pasta spoon. Asked young hostess for a pasta spoon - never arrived. Upon eating the linguini pasta, found the lobster pieces in were clearly not cooked all the way - only made it about halfway through the pasta meal decided to stop.
At this point, we were done, told our server we needed to leave. He promptly brought our check, comped 2 drinks. We didn’t wait for dessert.
The tab was $189. Tipped our server well because we felt bad for him as he was clearly struggling. (Not his fault!) The only good thing about this dinner was the salad and the server. We felt bad for Tristan. He was doing the best he could regarding the circumstances and he was very apologetic. My husband went to use the restroom twice in the 2 1/2 hours we were there, they were out of paper towels both times and the bathroom was clearly being neglected. Our intention after dinner was to go down to the speakeasy for a night cap. Unfortunately, we couldn’t bring ourselves to spend another dollar at this place. We have never written a bad review for a restaurant. This is our first time. We got home - still hungry & we dropped $240.00. For what? We will never go back! We frequently patronize various local restaurants and would never recommend this place....
Read moreWent on Valentine’s Day First, the doorway was extremely slick and there was a woman who fell walking in and my fiance almost slipped behind me. No signs or anything. But you all made SURE to post a hand written note stating 1.5 hour table max(kinda crazy if it takes well over 10 minutes for a server to greet you. There was a table waiting when we walked in and they were still waiting when we left) and an auto grat. At first I thought wow, they must have had some pretty bad customers in the past to unofficially require this, it didn’t surprise me cause by experience some customers in Anoka crawled right up from hell but I realized, no the place just isn’t that great and without it nobody would tip literally because of that. Not because they’re cheap, because the service isn’t great and from the reviews, neither is the food half the time. They didn’t have our reservation but thankfully we had our confirmation email so we were sat. (I mean it would have saved us some time to just leave then but whatever) Walking to the table was hands down the most uncomfortable experience. Hosts should be walking with guests, not 10 feet in front of them. But I do want to note the host was a sweetheart and super nice she just needs to slow down her pace for guests. There was ZERO music or anything in the room we were sat in or the room we had to walk through. Talk about uncomfortable and unappealing but there was music playing in the other rooms that you could very faintly hear. The room seemed like overflow and was extremely tacky. Definitely NOT “elegant super club” more like church basement. I’m sure they put a small amount of effort but when the silverware look like they were washed in dirty bath water, doesn’t really make anything else look better. There was no information on the website that there would be an alteration to the menu or a valentines specific menu. We picked 300 after looking at the menu and determining that I could actually eat something there, of course the one thing I could have they took off the menu for that night. There was not a singular entree that I could eat with my allergy restrictions without me changing the ENTIRE meal and the only one I could have was for 2 people so it would have counted as both our entrees. We would have never made the reservations if that was posted SOMEWHERE ON YOUR WEBSITE. $74 a person for things I literally can’t have. We ended up leaving and going to Texas Roadhouse and actually had an AMAZING dinner with AMAZING prompt service. I want that to sink in, this place was really not the vibe so much so that we left at 7ish pm and waited almost 2.5 HOURS to go...
Read moreWe had high hopes from reviews from friends and neighbors. Unfortunately our first visit, for our anniversary dinner, will be the last. The place looked great and the atmosphere was OK. It was practically empty for a Saturday night. First, the drinks we wanted, while on the regular menu, were not “available” anymore as we were told they were just seasonal. I mean, other drinks on the menu had a combination of the ingredients so it’s not like they couldn’t make it. I thought no big deal and just switched my drink choice. It was odd that the waitress asked about our drink orders a couple of times while we were still deciding and didn’t mention that an entire section of the drink menu was now unavailable. We did have the stuffed mushroom appetizers which were excellent. It made me excited for the main course. We did ask the waitress for recommendations or specials etc. I decided on the prime rib (since it was a Saturday) but was told I can’t have it because it isn’t ready. No, “it’ll be an extra 30 min” or anything, just a no. I mean, it was 6:30pm on a Saturday- prime dinner time and you don’t even have your popular dish only available on the weekend ready to serve? Maybe a note on the menu that it isn’t available before 7pm or whatever would be good. I switched to the salmon and my wife got the fried walleye. These were the most flavorless dishes I’ve ever tasted. The salmon was drenched in some watery white cream sauce- it filled half the plate like soup. It was very bland. The salmon itself was a bit overdone but not the worst thing on the plate. The menu stated it came with “creamy mashed potatoes”. There must have been a mistake because I got a whole boiled potato barely smashed with a fork. No flavor again- very bland. We opted to skip desert based on the meal service. If accurate menus and flavorful food are your things, avoid this place. If cardboard excites your...
