Such a disappointment!!
I am a long time customer and even a former employee of Pizza Man Anoka from years ago at the original East River Road location.
Take it from me folks, Pizza Man Anoka has fallen from grace. It used to be a place to talk about, a place to meet your friends, or bring your family.
Sadly, I can no longer recommend Pizza Man as a reputable, customer-focused, family-friendly business. After years of apparent decline, at least one literal brawl occurring within the dining room, and numerous staffing changes, Pizza Man Anoka has officially run amok.
Tonight! Tonight a pathetic excuse for service was had. Seriously… pathetic.
And they broke the camels back so here I am writing about it………………….
Setting the scene, I arrived and chose a table for dine-in. One other table was occupied with 3 people already waiting for their order. 2 other people sat at the bar having been there for some time.
I was served by a younger employee who did OK -I tipped him- but the the real problems began when another couple arrived, a good 10-15 minutes after I had already place my order.
Mind you, this couple was very obviously friends or family of the manager, who was more than eager to come out from behind the counter to serve them.
Yes, this couple got the special treatment, being provided a cheery demeanor with plates and silverware- meanwhile, the house rule is “Pizza Man doesn’t put out plates.”
Hey! Look at that, that couple who arrived 15 minutes after my order was placed already has their food coming out before mine.?.?.?
Slightly unhappy, I asked my server to send over the manager.
Instead of choosing to hear my valid concerns and, perhaps, apologize for the oversight, the-soon-to-be-fired-manager took it upon herself to literally YELL at me in front of the other customers. Defensive and ugly was her managerial response to me.
Shock ensues…….
That’s right folks, Pizza Man management currently allows their employees to raise their voice in argument toward a customer with a valid concern- creating a toxic environment. Thanks!
No apology was given…
She did, however, go on to say: “What more do you want? I already apologized.”
She did not apologize to me. She merely ‘said’ that she had apologized.
Saying that you have apologized and apologizing are not the same, manager.
More importantly, I am disgusted by the demeanor and behavior of this Pizza Man employee- who chose to go as far as verbally attacking me in front of all of the customers, over my raising a minor customer service issue.
Tonight, the Pizza Man manager demonstrated a clear lack of self control as well as a gross misunderstanding of her position as an employee.
How can this be fixed?
•Public apology •Cash apology •Free pizza for life
•This person may be a hard worker, but she is no manager; there is no excuse for her behavior, nor fostering a toxic environment.
Terminate the employment of this person post-haste and train the next manager(s) as one who can control their emotions and their cursing- you know, the brain-mouth...
Read moreI ordered the pain spaghetti dinner with onion and meat balls and their teriyaki wings. The wings were chewy and tasted gross. The spaghetti the noodles weren't done and I didn't get any onions on it and I got barely any sauce. The meatballs were still pink in the middle and I did not get any bread sticks or my pop that comes with the spaghetti dinner. As it says so on their menu. I had to order a pop separately. Then I had to go get my food from the service counter. When I was seated as a eat in customer. And my food was in to go containers instead of a eat in plate as I was eating in I'd been their for like a hour before I ordered. Then when I told them there wings were gross she went on to tell me I'm wrong and that it was the sauce. I told her no it's the chicken it's chewy. I told her I want my money back she have me my money back with a attitude. Then when I brought the meatballs up their she said that they were not pink and they were. She also said that I wasn't getting my money back and that I was wrong again. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICES I'VE EVER HAD. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. I WOULDN'T SUGGEST...

Pizza Man in Anoka isn’t just our favorite pizza spot—it’s a place that feels like home. I still remember the first time we stopped in after moving to the area. We had just finished a long day of unpacking, totally exhausted, and decided to grab a quick bite. We walked into Pizza Man not expecting much… and left completely hooked.
That night, we devoured a large deluxe and their garlic cheese bread, sitting on the floor of our new place because the furniture hadn’t even arrived yet. It was that good. Since then, it’s become our go-to for Friday nights, birthday dinners, and even just those random Tuesdays when nothing else sounds quite as satisfying.
The pizza is always hot, fresh, and piled high with toppings—seriously, they don’t mess around. The crust has the perfect crunch, and the flavor of the sauce tastes homemade. The staff is always upbeat and welcoming, and you can tell they care about the food and their regulars.
Whether you're a longtime local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. It’s not just great pizza—it’s a slice of Anoka...
