China Garden — Restaurant in Ansonia

First time ordering here and I really have to say that this restaurant does a good job at making good food and good experiences. When I called in a gentleman answered the phone and spoke with me with manners and respect which goes a long way in my book, he was able to confirm my order and give me a total within 1 minute. He gave me an estimate of 35 mins for my order to be ready and delivered but to my surprise the driver called me 17mins later to let me know he’d be in front of the house in 2 mins. I know it’s a lot of numbers but long story short the service was better than good and the food was exactly what we ordered and expected. The delivery man was kind and appreciative of the gratuity. I’d definitely order from here again. I wish I had a picture to post but it smelled so good I dug right in and couldn’t help but write a review once I finished my meal. I ordered food from here Friday Dec 2, 15 minutes after ordering the delivery guy was close. That was strange the man who took my order said 35-45 mins until my food is finished. I get my food about less than 20 mins later. We ordered General Tao’s Chicken also Sweet and Sour Chicken. My son wakes up at 3am vomiting for hours and hours and couldn’t keep anything down not even a sip of tea! That’s called food poisoning! He was so sick and miserable I couldn’t believe he was this sick from eating food from this establishment. I called them and asked for a refund because my son got sick. They said call back to speak to the owner. I called Connecticut health department, they did an investigation. They claimed that my food was cooked properly and that they were in compliance as far as food safety. The inspector literally did nothing! I ordered from here twice and both times were a disappointment. My first order was upon a recent move into the area. I ordered wings and pork fried rice. What was delivered to me was completely different. The rice was definitely not fried. It was as if they cooked the rice and mixed the veggies and pork bits in at the end of cooking. The vegetables were hard and the rice was pearly white. The wings were just ok. I honestly only ate the food because i was hungry. Months later i ordered again. I didn’t rmmbr this was the same place. I only realized when the delivery driver called me. I ordered boneless spare ribs and fried rice and the same wings and pork fried rice for a visiting friend. He threw half his away. My spare ribs looked and tasted more like jerky’s and again, the rice was not fried just had veggies mixed into cooked rice.
