To start from the beginning, I live 8 minutes form the pizza place and just outside the city of Ansonia, Dominos would not deliver to me. Yet I can get a pizza place 30 minutes away to deliver. So first I was a little annoyed, but I was eager to try dominos for the first time since I had heard amazing reviews. So, I place a pickup order and got myself a simple Alf redo pizza with chicken. I go to pick it up. The staff 4 of them are all just sitting around, I'm the only person in the place. I say hi and try to get their attention. They look at me nod, one of them waves and they all just sit around. I was about ready to give them hell for that when a guy a few moments later walks from the back and just looks at me and then looks at a few receipts and just goes. "Who are you?" I said my name, already getting ready to write a bad review. So, he grabs an incredibly small pizza box. Brings it over and charges me 12 dollars. The pizza was as big has my hand. Either way it smelled good so I got it. Went home, and opened the box. It looked good so I pulled out a piece and took a bite. The sauce and chicken had no taste, and the crust was brittle in some places burnt and tasted like cardboard. I walked over to the freezer pulled out a microwavable fettuccini Alf redo with chicken my sisters keep in there when they get hungry. I cooked it and had the two side my side. I took a bite of each, and the microwaved tasted 10 times better. So now to the review, the place is overpriced for 10 dollars I can get pizza that is the size of dominos extra-large from a local pizza joint. Dominos would charge 25 for it. My next comment to dominos is if youāre going to hire people, hire competent people, who make the food the way they would want to eat it. With flavor, and train your employees in customer service. All in all, this was my first trip to dominos and already have informed my friends of the service they provide. If I was the owner I would feel ashamed of the food served. As is I'm writing to their corporate and informing them that they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas told that I just needed to make a purchase on the app & then would be able to get the "emergency" pizza, so I did! But than was told that my order wasn't eligible to receive the "emergency" pizza...LIES! or FALSE ADVERTISEMENT if anything. Either way, I had said a swear word I guess (that wasn't directed towards anybody yet the Manager had taken the wrong way I guess and started waving his finger in my face and being nasty saying that "I can't swear at him!"... tho I didn't even direct it towards him! Still, he should never get rude and disrespectful to a customer! So I stood up for myself and then he called the police on me for NO reason! The cops saw me completely calm, just disappointed that I couldn't get the "emergency" pizza that my Dominos app had said was available for me. What ever happened to, 'the customer's always right?!' And to have to sit there and be questioned by the cops as my food got cold? WOW. The cops even knew they were there for no reason. Than just I was about to lose it on this guy (but started walking out instead..) he asked me if I wanted that free pizza?! With a smirk on his face... NO thank you! Beyond a doubt the WORST service, let alone worst treatment I've EVER received from a restaurant. EVER! I was mortified but had to play it off cool cuz this guy was trying to assert his control it sure seemed. NEVER to this Dominos unless you like being treated disrespectfully. I suggest heading over to your next town over to get Dominos. & this was the manager treating me like this!! š¤·āāļøš¤Æ Wish I could give -negative stars š It is what it is i guess. I just sure hope nobody else gets treated with the same blaient disrespect...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been ordering from this location for about TWO years and I believe that management recently changed. It has become a HASSLE to get delivery from this location. The people answering the phones disconnect the calls, they tell you they canāt deliver or that they are simply too busy. Two weeks ago I called and was informed they couldnāt deliver to my address simply ābecauseā. They could not refer to any Dominos policy or guidelines. I informed the manager that I would be reaching out to corporate and she decided to take my order but here is where it gets interesting. They made sure to come up with every story in the book. We placed the order around 8pm and two hours later received a call about an accident but that the driver would be coming with pizzas that were two hours old. We were told a different driver would pick up the pizzas from that driver. My husband was empathetic but if they were willing to still bring it, it would have to be fresh pizza. We never heard back after that. It was 1am and we never received any pizzas. Today we called to order again and we received the same runaround. When we asked to speak to a manager they refused to connect with us. I am extremely confused about they way this location operates and is even more frustrating to deal with individuals that you have to basically argue with to even speak with someone. Iām definitely reaching out to corporate as well...
