Copper City Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Ansonia

So we love this place, like we LOVE the food here and order from here regularly! Last time we ordered from here we decided to get the kids flatbread pizza for our 5 year old who ended up inhaling it and wanting more and being angry that he couldn’t have more lol so this time I saw that they had an entree size and I assumed that meant it was a larger portion, so I put the entree in and in the specials section asked that it be plain cheese bc it was for our son we just wanted more than the kids serving….unfortunately my assumption on serving size being larger was wrong and when we received our food we had gotten a note from the kitchen staff letting us know that the pizza serving was still same size but they gave us a second pizza for him and just up charged the order $2!! I mean they really went out of their way to make sure our kid was happy and more often than not when ordering from places now they just don’t usually accommodate special orders let alone look at what they even say!! Came here for the first time with a group of co workers on a Saturday (this is the first time any of us have been here). A customer recommended it to us they had 50 cent wings going on so we figured we would try it. Probably got there around 10ish and it was pretty much dead. We sat at the bar the bartender was okay not super friendly but eh. We got our drinks and she asked if we wanted wings. Half of us said yes, then an other women came up to us very rude asking what wings we wanted I think she said because she was leaving she needed our order. I asked for the flavors and I got a menu but they way they acted was as if I asked for something outrageous. And half and hour later other people came in and ordered food so I was confused because I thought the reason she was rude and rushing us was because the kitchen was closing. That being said wings were good but just of the vibe of the service I'm probably not going back. They gave us a round of shots I feel like to make up for the service but us being in retail and customer service it just didn't sit well with me so I don't want to even try this...

Great hidden gem in downtown Ansonia. If you're a foodie then Copper City Bar & Grill is a must. The portions are very generous and the taste is spot on. The Seafood Chowder exemplifies that fact with its creaminess and abundant seafood - a meal all its own. The Slow Cooked Beef Rib Burger was in my opinion the best burger I've ever tasted. The Chicken Caprese Sandwich was just as delicious. Since it was a Sunday we were able to treat ourselves to the Sunday Brunch menu as well and ordered the Fried Chicken & French Toast dish... very unique and very good. The dining area was spacious and rustic with a bar in the back separated by a half wall. If you're looking to hang out at the bar, watch the game, there's ample room and a good selection of microbrews on tap. Great variety of music played in the background where I found myself tapping my foot to the beat of a few songs. They also have outdoor patio dining in the back for those warmer days.
