J R B's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Ansonia

I walk in on July 5 2019 to pick up 2 grinders...so she rings me up it's 23$ she says...i say u sure it's that much ...she says yes with tax...mean while I could tell she the bartender because she is drunk an could not figure out how to open the register...anyways I give her 2 20$ bills...she says I gotta go to the bar to get change ...she couldn't figure the register out...its 8.50 for 1 grinder and 9.25 for the other...its 17.75 total so 5.25 in tax I said to her...now she adds up the 2 grinders in front of me with 1.13 cents in tax and says sorry about that...i say no problem...so now she try to keep 1 of the 20$ bills I gave her she gave me change for only one 20$ bill so I said I gave u 2 twenty...oh sorry about that she said...can I have a receipt I ask for she replays with a mumble of nerves...i wanted a digital receipt but remind u about the register so she writes me out 1 that's 17.77$ 2 cents more...i ask her is this sub total that I paid because I want a exact amount on the receipt...yes it is she says...i say ok so u owe me more money I gave u a 20 and she gave me back 1.50cents the first time and it was the wrong amount...so she opens the register figures it out gives me 1.40cent in change more...remind u she already gave me my change...ill take the discount th bad customs service...

First let me explain what I did like about jrb's I've been living in this town for about a year-and-a-half and jrb's has been there allegedly for about 25 30 years I never thought they're going there cuz I always thought it wasn't a type of spot for my type of people but lo and behold I did going when I tell you that the food portions are astronomical it's ridiculous I had the meatloaf dinner which it was so damn big I have enough for two dinners but everything was not homemade that's what I didn't like about it and I assume they thought that I thought it was homemade but I'm a cook so I know what homemade is portion control absolutely I would go again for portions but I definitely would have to get something that's home-cooked or made from scratch made the order was definitely the best thing for me I didn't take a picture because I didn't even think to take...

I placed an order through Uber Eats. Ordered a Steak Grinder and a Sausage Calzone. What I received was a Steak Grinder and a small Sausage Pizza. I called JR B's Restaurant and a woman answered the phone & explained the mistake. Instead of doing the right thing by apologizing and offering to send out the correct item, she was justifying the error. I explained that I was following THEIR menu and under Calzone was sausage. AGAIN she was trying to defend her position. I told her I will not waste my time listening to her making excuses and will never order from them again. I will not support or frequent a business that doesn't put their customers first. My husband will be eating this pizza tomorrow for lunch and I will have a peanut butter and jelly...
