Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Antioch

Going to an ice cream place is supposed to be fun for little kids. They look forward to it. I ordered two kids ice cream cones and a smoothie online and paid for it. When I get there, they tell me that they didn’t get the order. I have the receipt for the order …proving that I paid for it. Even after showing them the receipt… She refused to give me the ice cream. She said she had no idea how I could get my money back other than going through the website. Which is the website for that store . So I had to bring my grandson home without any ice cream in tears . I couldn’t find any number on the website to get a hold of anyone other than the store itself. This is really bad business. She is willing to lose business over $9.37.? I have never received such bad customer service in my life. It is not the customers fault that the store didn’t get the order. And when you have a receipt showing that you paid for it… There should be no reason why you don’t get the order. But this lady insisted she can’t give me my money back and she can’t give me the ice cream. I finally found a corporate number for Dairy Queen. They filed a report. But couldn’t give me my money back until the owner calls me.. This is a terrible experience and rather than having a fun day with my grandkids. My granddaughter and my grandson were in tears! We went here for the first time to order a cake for my daughter's birthday. Usually we go to DQ in Round Lake frequently. I ordered the cake and some Blizzards and but didn't get a receipt because the girl put it with the order slip. When I went back to pick up the cake I asked for the receipt and was flatly told no. The younger workers that were there both visits were not friendly at all and seemed annoyed to be at work. Most disappointing was the cake. It had a hard, white, buttercream type frosting along the edge instead of the usual whipped cream frosting, and it really affected the flavor of thw qhole cake. While Dairy Queen in Antioch offers some reasonable prices, which is a plus as several people in the comments have mentioned, there seems to be a recurring issue with portion sizes. Recently, I ordered a Peanut Buster Parfait, and to my disappointment, it looked noticeably smaller than the ones I’ve gotten at other DQ locations.
