READ BOTTOM FOR UPDATE. Had the worst experience of my life at Popeyes today. NEVER had a worse experience. Customer service skills of the manager really failed me as a customer today. I had to wait 52 minutes for my food, 2 times they sold out of cooked chicken without making my order of a 10 piece. 25 separate orders were filled without mine being done. After 35 minutes I went to the counter and was told 5 minutes went back after 47 minutes and told it's coming. After 52 minutes the manager called me and says here ya go sorry but we are taking care of you. I said how she said it's in the bag, I look in back and there is two apple pies. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I was so offended. She said i told you a minute ago i would refund your order but you wanted the food. I told her after 52 minutes you should be apologizing AND REFUNDING my order. She said it's one or the other but not both. I asked for the General managers number or corporate number and she said I cant give you those. I get home after all that and the order was wrong, i asked for 8 thighs and 2 legs and got 8 legs and 2 thighs. Went back to get that fix and was told they needed to cook more chicken. Popeyes how do you allow your customers to be treated like this? I will have to continue to warn people about this particular restaurant. AFTER 8 MONTHS I decided to give them another try so I go thru drive thru and order a chicken sandwich combo. It was old dried out and overcooked, since I was on my way to the laundromat I figured I would take it back when I was done. Guess what, even with a receipt they would not refund my money. Say they would only give me a credit and also said corporate office wouldn't be able to help me either. I told her several time a credit wouldn't work since I would never step foot in that store again. I was horrified that after my first review the terrible manager was still there today. She walks up to the counter and said to me "What's wrong" . I replied don't you mean how can I help you? She said it again " What's wrong". Folks there is a reason the store only has a 3 stars which is 2 stars to many. Do yourself a favor avoid this location...
Read moreI work close by, and so regularly go to the Taco Bell next door for my lunch. I regret trying to do this with this Popeye's on Apache Trail. I installed the apps on my phone (of both TB and Popeye's) so I could order my food ahead of time and pick it up to enjoy on my break. When I use Taco Bell's app, my meal is waiting for me when I get there. I tried to do this with Popeye's and discovered that Popeye's is managed much worse than TB. When I arrived, not only was my food not ready despite ordering it an hour ahead, the wait to prepare the food took ALL of my break and then some. The store was not busy, but the cashier seemed to resent me and I witnessed several customers who had already been dining come up to the counter with differing complaints, such as a wrong order, a mix-up, or the overhead music not being turned on. The staff responded minimally and did nothing, and also didn't communicate with me about how long the wait would be (to fry a pie, which took a little over half an hour). At times it looked like the cashier did not know what they were doing and also did not care, even physically moving at a snail's pace. While I work in retail and understand that it can sometimes be difficult or unpleasant, I also know that this is not an...
Read moreEDIT- Jayden the manager who brought are food out was GREAT and explained everything to us that MARLENE was incapable of doing. He made sure to apologize for how things were handled and even through in a couple of desserts in for the inconvenience. If I could give JAYDEN all the stars I would but for his other employees they still need some training and don’t deserve the stars lol
The Crismon location I’ve never had ANY issues but for some reason this AJ location is trash. Marlene is the one who took my order and proceeded to tell us that we COULD NOT request to just have “only legs” or just “only thighs” if we wanted a meal we HAD to have the variety that it came in. Which is false as every other Popeyes I’ve gone to has had NO issues with my request. My autistic son LOVES Popeyes and only likes the leg pieces and refuses to eat any others so when MARLENE let us know the “rules” of ordering I was shocked. Pick better employees. Not to mention the fact we had to wait long enough that I could have gone shopping across the street and been back in time before they brought...
