Arby's — Restaurant in Apex

My husband and I stopped by on our way home around 7:30pm this evening. In placing order the female person running drive thru seemed to be rushing us in ordering as though there were a long line of cars behind us, there was no one. Placed order for Arby's Double Roast Beef large size meal with Sweet Tea, was informed NO Sweet or Unsweet Tea, Coke, Sierra Mist, OK Dr Pepper no ice and Bacon Swiss Chicken sandwich medium size with Dr Pepper no ice, side of cheddar and 2 apple turnovers, informed NO turnovers either. Pull around to window, paid, 1 drink handed over waited on food and 2nd drink handed over with window slammed shut abruptly . Pulled forward to check order, missing side of cheddar and double roast beef was skimpy and cold (more like a single), large order of fries container was skimpy (med fries container had more fries). Pulled around the building to drive thru window again, said Hello again, received the nastiest look as I mentioned missing side of cheddar. Slammed the window so hard it flew back open and all you could hear was the complaining of how dare we pull back around because missing side of cheddar. Truly disappointed that we bothered her in doing her job and the nasty attitudes just turned us off completely, as long as that type of attitude is acceptable we choose not to return. Upon getting home, sitting to eat, took sip of Dr Pepper and it tasted disgusting...both had...

As we walked in the only patron in the establishment was an employee watching CNN. Maybe he should have grabbed a mop cause the floor was very dirty. Especially aroind the drink station. The drive through had 6 cars in line prompting our inside visit. The employees were arguing over who threw food on the floor. The person who took our order had a hard time with me changing my wife's shake order from small to medium. She wanted to charge us for 2 shakes. The aforementioned mop had a better personality than our order taker. She asked if we wanted to make our number 6 menu item a combination? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a numbered menu item a combination? Otherwise why wouldn't I order a roast beef sandwich other than ordering a number 6. Even as we are eating the employees were still arguing and cussing at each other. Very unprofessional. Once done we get up to leave and find all the trash cans are over full. Unable to toss my food I just leave the full tray on the trash can. As we leave I say to my wife "remind me not to ever return...

I just stopped in for a Beef and Cheddar, had a hankering. I will say this about this location, which certainly can't be said for all locations - employees were on point. I was greeted, everyone was friendly. When I left there was someone sweeping the parking lot. Think really hard about the last time you saw that, and she told me to have a nice day. Taking one star off food only because Diet Coke was "unavailable" on the stupid Freestyle machine. Are we over those dumb things yet??

Edit: stopped back today, and I'm not saying my review had anything to do with it, but the Coke Freestyle machine is gone, and a new fountain in its place!!! Also happy to say employees still on point. Woman, who I can only assume is the manager is running this ship very smoothly. I'm sitting in the front here listening to her training some new folks and she is killing it. Was greeted, got food quickly and it was perfect. Easily earned that star back. Please keep up...
