Awful, Awkward, and Unnecessary Experience
I'm usually a really easy-to-please person and get along with pretty much everyone. I'm not asking for the moon here, just basic decency. So, while I'm glad some folks have had good service at this spot, my experience was just plain awful.
When I walked in, the first young guy who started my order was super friendly, smiled, and greeted me – no complaints there. He started cooking the meat and then passed things along. That's where it all went wrong. There were three other employees making my sandwich, and honestly, they all looked absolutely miserable. They could barely look up, definitely didn't crack a smile, and hardly said a word. One quietly asked what I wanted on the sandwich, and I happily told them, but they just had these cold, annoyed expressions.
Then they just slapped the ingredients all over my sandwich – and the counter. I asked for mayo and mustard, and they literally just splattered it on, not even trying to do it nicely. The hot honey and mayo were globbed on randomly, super heavy in some spots and barely there in others. It was ridiculous; it felt like they didn't care at all about making a decent sandwich.
When it was time to pay, they were all just standing around looking at their phones, still looking miserable like they'd rather be anywhere else. I paid, even gave a tip they didn't deserve, and then they just shoved the bag at me. Super rude. No "thank you," no nothing. I said "thank you" and "have a good day," and one mumbled "yeah you too" while the others just stood there.
Reading this back, it might not sound like a huge deal, but trust me, it was an awful experience. It was awkward, rude, and totally unnecessary. These employees all looked young and miserable, and honestly, this is exactly why people talk about jobs being replaced by robots. If you don't care enough to do a decent job or treat customers with basic respect – the kind I'd give anyone – then what do you expect?
I'm a regular at the location closer to my home where they are great, but I will definitely not be going back to this one ever again. Such a shame, it really didn't have to be this way. Read moreMy wife and I have been going once a week for the past month or so and constantly get poor customer service. We normally go around 8 when you close at 9 during the week. Immediately when we walk in the door your employees seem disgruntled that we are even there. They have the worst attitudes and zero personality. Tonight was our worst experience. We walk into hip hop music blaring profanity (I think from a phone) and they don't rush to turn it off. When we finally get to the counter they cut it off. Unprofessional. When we get to the counter he asks what we want. We tell him 2 mini # 7s on wheat. He asks his coworker if they have any mini wheat bread left and she says no. He grumbles and grabs a footlong and cuts it into 2 "minis." He tosses half the bread to the side like we had inconvenienced him. The entire time we are ordering how we want our subs there is no effort in them making conversation with us. It was extremely awkward also because no music was playing. We get home and our minis are different sizes- one is a full inch longer. We love jersey mikes but I'm tired of going to this location. Others are farther from us but better customer service. It's just never a good experience...
Read moreWell when I went in today to retrieve my points the lady that was dressing up my #9 sub asked me what I wanted on it so I told her in which she didn't hear me at all. I told her lettuce mayo oil and salt and she decides to put tomatoes on my sub and in which I don't eat that and when I said something she basically said he didn't hear me that well and so she then decides to not put my bacon nor mayo on the sub and all she kept doing was apologizing for the tomatoes and she forgot everything else I said I wanted. And to be honest the manager was standing there not saying nothing. Now keep in mind I told her no tomatoes and I didn't say I want a dry sub and that is what got. So I tried to call back when I got home but the manager was not nice at all and basically said that what got is what I asked for and that to me is very rude. He did say he was gonna give me my points back but I don't think that is gonna happen but all I can do is suck it up. Smh.... so he did give them back but not all my points and that...
