Was there last Saturday to pick up a pre ordered cake. Get there and the order was no where to be found, no manager available and no real help. Took 2 different employees to look for the cake and was asked 3 different times if the cake brought out to me was the one. Show them the confirmation order number to no avail. Finally the owners wife of the DQ came in and after looking couldn't find anything. At this point in late for my daughters birthday party and still no cake. No real suggestion as to how they will fix the issue and no apology either. It took my Fiancé grabbing a cake from the freezer by the cashiers and requesting to write happy birthday on it. I was furious!! They lady did how ever after I told her how angry I was did let me have the cake after suggesting I pay half...no lady I'm not paying your giving it to me extremely discounted if not free. Walked out with a free cake and a free number 3 candle with no apology what so ever from known of the 3 employees there that day that "helped me". What's the point of calling to confirm a cake order and sending you a receipt of te order if you will not have the cake ready there for pick up. I understand things happen but as a owner of the business you apologize and ask how can I fixed it. Not shove a cake in my hands after you being wrong and walking away with no apology! Have a great day and I hope you learn from this mistake!
Warning to others pre ordering a cake doesn't guarantee it'll be there...
Read moreThe only reason I would even consider going to this DQ is if my wife and I were seriously craving a Blizzard.
The location of this DQ is terrible. It is on a hill next to where SR 436 turns into SR 441. Trying to get into this DQ is a nightmare, as you either have to dodge traffic to get into the turning lane on 436 or you have to get into the plaza from either an earlier entrance or the back of the plaza itself.
If you are craving a fast meal, there are plenty of better alternatives in Apopka than DQ. The service in the kitchen is slow with getting food prepared. When the food does come out, you can definitely tell from your first appearance that it was recently frozen in a bag or box.
As I mentioned before the only reason my wife and I would even come here would be if we were craving a Blizzard. That said the Blizzards themselves are hardly cheaper than any milkshakes or sundaes you can get at any other ice cream shop in the area. The Blizzards themselves are ok, but nothing special.
My best recommendation for anyone is that if you are planning to come to DQ for dessert, try avoiding going there at night and DO NOT try eating your meal inside your car within the parking lot. Otherwise you risk encountering homeless people wandering around the plaza,...
Read moreI have gone to this Dairy Queen for the final time. For one thing, employees of this place have been rude to me several times. Second, they are so thoughtless when it comes to customer service, it's unbelievable.
Last night, I ordered 2 Blizzards that I intended to take home, which is about 6 miles from this restaurant. The guy working the drive thru hands me 2 over-filled cups with ice cream already melting out everywhere. I asked for lids and a bag--their default approach is to not give you these things because they're too cheap to provide even the most basic things you need. I soon found that even the lids and bag were useless because the ice cream was too high above the rim of the cup to allow for a lid. Plus the flimsy bag had melted ice cream all over the outside within seconds.
Anyway, on my way home, I was treated to this complete mess of melting ice cream all over my car seat, all over my pants, all over my shirt. This is all because these geniuses don't even think to put something in a double bag or a bigger cup, so that it doesn't melt all over your car and every surface on you and near you. This place has officially lost...
