Update 2/3/2024 8:30pm? I ordered take out. Enchilada+tamale w/rice. The taste was very good. I was a little sad to find portions much smaller than previous 2 visits. My tamale was the size of an enchilada and the enchilada was 3 small bites. The side section which previously were full of rice were just above half full. I almost ordered a taco, however because previous experience the meal filled me up, so I actually mentioned that to the server and told him the meals are more than enough. Not this time. I'm hoping this was an off night and not the new norm, because I do like the flavor of the food and great customer service. Booths are in bad condition. A staple gun and fabric from downtown LA would do wonders for appearances. 👍
This is my second time getting food from this location and the first time was okay but it could have been better had I've been more specific when I placed the order so this time when I place my order I was very specific and asked for exactly what I wanted and I was a little bit of a pain in the rear end I'm sure the Cook or Chef was looking at that ticket and frowning but he did it exactly like I requested and I can honestly say I've never been happier I mean it was just really really nice to open that container and not have to take it back in for something I mean I was able to enjoy the meal the enchilada was actually hot and the cheese inside was melted like I requested because that's my number one pet peeve is to get cold enchiladas from these restaurants I don't know why they think that that taste good but I guess most people just throw it in the microwave to melt the cheese but it grosses me out I mean when I get a meal and I have an enchilada and a tamale or enchilada to Taco or whatever it is I get and I cut into that cheese enchilada and the cheese in the middle of it is ice cold that's just nasty like who wants to eat that so I had asked him to please make sure that my cheese enchilada was hot and the cheese was melted inside and it was absolutely perfect but the fact that they took the time to do it when they were busy they had people waiting and people coming in so they were busy anyhow service was really good young lady at the cash register again very patient with me writing everything down she went and back and she explained to the chef you know what my request works I had three different things that I wanted altered about the meal and she went and told him I heard her telling him so she was really sweet and her attention to detail was spot on my meal was perfect the atmosphere in the place was kind of you know lackluster it's just a very bare empty room there's no music there's no you know nothing exciting on the walls tables and chairs or just you know generic so that's why I put three four atmosphere but the value for the dollar is good considering that everything is expensive nowadays I mean it's not you know too much that you have to sell your first born child to get a taco but you know it was nice you get a decent amount of food for the price no complaints this cashier lady she needs a raise and so does your Chef cuz they're super busy and it was just the two of them they were working hard it was late at night and they were busting their rear ends so I hope the manager reads this it was last night that I went in which was Tuesday the 6th of November and it was kind of late I think around 10:30 or 11:00 so I hope that they can get a little reward for their hard work I don't think they get any tips so it'd be nice if they got compensated for hustling the way they do and making food correct and...
Read moreAfter today, I am not going back. I got the wrong order, so my wife and I ate part of it and asked for our correct order, and they wanted to charge us for their mistake. I'm just done with this place
I've spent hundreds of dollars here this year alone. Even with the 50% price increases over the last 2-3 years, I still come back with the prices unreasonably high, even with the food tasting average or below average half the time. Even with the ridiculous $.75 charge for using a card.
However after today, I am simply done. I am so exhausted, and my wife and I ordered 2 steak breakfast burritos this morning. It comes out to $23.75 or something like that. It was a super long wait, and the employee calls out two breakfast burritos and all I heard was something inaudible, and with my hearing in one ear not great, sounds like my order as the person who ordered in front of me already got their food.
I drive 20 minutes to our destination as we need to wait to pick up my kids from family, only to discover it's the wrong order. It's not food we like, but one burrito was something we wouldnt mind eating, so we shared that because we had to wait another 30 minutes for them to get there.
An hour later We called and told them about it and said we wanted to pick up the food we ordered because we got the wrong food, so they said to bring the food back.
We drive all the way back, out of the way, wasting time and gas to go get the right food.
I go inside and let them know I was the person who called and as I was handing over the food, I was trying to tell the person that we ate one of the food items but she took it quickly and she just said we'll take care of it.
5 minutes later they said they're only making one burrito since one was missing. At this point I'm annoyed because I got the wrong food, we drove all the way back, and this is just frustrating. The burrito we ordered vs what we got by mistake is much more expensive and the one we ate was much less filling, so I am frustrated they wont just make what we paid for.
They asked if we wanted the second steak burrito but that they would have to charge us for it since we ate the cheaper burrito already ... well ya we got the wrong food and were starving, so we shared the one cheaper burrito while we waited to come back. but they wanted to charge us a steak burrito when we ate one a few bucks cheaper.
At that point I am just exhausted and annoyed at this entire situation and said just give me the one burrito we paid for and give me a refund of the difference between the one we ate and ordered so I can just leave and go home.
The manager then gaslit me and blamed me for taking the wrong food. She said she knows my order and I grabbed the wrong one so why didnt she say anything and let me take the wrong food?! IDK, but all this hassle over so little food has me never wanting to go back again.
They wanted to argue over a small burrito for what? I've probably spent $400+ there this year and they give me one wrong order and want to nickel and dime us for their mistake.
All in all this took 2 hours to take care of. I'm just done parting with hard earned money and then the one time they make a mistake they cant take ownership of it and just give us...
