Six Beans Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Apple Valley

I love coffee. It's been a part of me since my Grandma started giving me coffee and bread when I was 4 years old. Well, it was more like a little bit of coffee with my milk and sugar. I worked at 2 am for 34 years, so coffee has been with me almost everyday of my life. I'm not picky either. I'll drink any coffee and consider it good enough. However, I do know good coffee from bad, so I will be as honest as possible.

Six Beans is such a cool little place. For those of you as old as me, every time I go there, I feel like I'm with my mom picking up photos at the Kodak hut in the middle of Kmart parking lot. There is no speaker to give your order, so you drive up to the window. Hopefully, there aren't many cars in front of you or it could take time. The young people there are ALWAYS very nice, and get your order to you quickly, unless it's a big order. If so, prepare to wait a little. If you're in a rush, I suggest going to the other chains.

The coffee is good. I won't say it's the best I've ever had, but it's good, tastes like coffee, and always is fresh. It's when you get into blended drinks that 6B seems different. The other chains seem to make blended drinks so fast that they all taste kind of the same. 6B blended drinks all taste different and have a coffee taste behind it. Sometimes I feel like I get ice cream at these other places, or colored water with a little coffee. 6B blended drinks taste like what you ordered, and if it has coffee, you taste it! This is the one reason why I buy coffee there. I can go to another place, order at the speaker, pull up and have my coffee ready, and be off with a good drink. However, I sacrifice taste with my eagerness to rush. If I have time, I will go to 6B.

As far as food goes, I haven't ordered much from the menu. However, what I have ordered was delicious. An Everything Breakfast Sandwich and Avocado toast are usually what I get for my wife and I. It has always been hot and tasty. My food, not my wife. I'll review her later. She's a 6 star though. The avocado on the toast is actually fresh! That says a lot. Many places used that stuff from a tube. YUK! Btw, I was a bread delivery man for those 34 years, so I know bread. The bread they use is good. I don't know where they get the food from, but it's plenty good enough for me. The price at 6B is normal and not over priced. It's worth what you pay.

The lack of 5 stars is not because of the service or product. It's because of the app. I'm not a wizard at using my apps, but it's SO MUCH easier to use the competitors app than 6B's. You can earn points for free drinks, get coupons sent to you via the app, pay with your app, etc. It's just not user friendly. Once they get that fixed, I'm afraid that I will be willing to wait longer for a good product. 6B is worth it. Go there with extra time and wait a little longer. In the end you’ll be...

I would Like to say every morning, me and my son go there before I take him to work and I go to work. My Son always loves stopping there to grab himself his two drinks and his sausage, egg and cheese bagel every so often if I’m in the mood for a drink, my son grabs me one too. I believe she said her name was Amy. I’m not sure cause we always go there right at 5:30 in the morning. She’s always cheerful knowing she’s there that early in the morning her customer service is always amazing the way she makes the drinks and My Son’s bagel. Absolutely amazing. She’s always wearing a six bean black sweater. She has glasses and long black hair. She never has an attitude always cheerful. There was two times that I’ve been there one time and it was in the morning around 5:30 AM. There was a gentleman and a Young lady, I don’t know if those two were arguing or they were in a bad mood. He had to find out that she was a manager the one that helped me and my son I ordered a drink. It was called island something it was a limited time drink it was like an energy drink style drink. I got it before absolutely amazing. I decided I wanted one. I was a little tired that day it just felt like I went to a local store and bought myself an energy drink. It was disgusting very awful tasting. It was to the point that I threw the drink away. That’s how bad it was Yesterday. Took my mom to the grocery store. Six beans is a great coffee shop. However every time we go buy six beans the drinks are different. For example we paid extra for caramel drizzle in the cup and a friend of mine always asks for caramel drizzle and is charged 50 cents extra for caramel drizzle. However there is never any caramel drizzle in the cup. There isn't any caramel drizzle on top of the caramel frappe drink they offer? shouldn't there be caramel on top regardless if there is caramel on the sides of the cup? if they can't remember to put caramel on top of the drink how are they ever supposed to put it on the sides? With a brand new coffee shop two blocks down the street called Dutch Brothers you would think they would up their game. Don't get me wrong this is a great place to get some coffee they just need to pay more attention and make sure that the orders are right. Consistency is the most important thing when it comes to my coffee. Please get it together I love shopping there. Reduced from 4 to 3 stars because of the reply left by management. They obviously didn't even read my review because I said that I paid extra for caramel and they forgot to put it on the drink.
