Apple valleys owner deleted their comment on this review but thankfully I have a screenshot of it. He accuses me of being sent there from another business just because I recommended another area small business, which has similar food to his restaurant and that’s it. He doesn’t even care about the terrible service we endured from his wait staff. He’s trying to delete his unprofessional comment to me but thankfully I took a screenshot of this and sent it to a bunch of people I know because we could not believe his response. Absolutely floored.
Love the owner’s response. No acknowledgment of the terrible service or taking responsibility for the terrible waitress. Ask your manager about what happened on Sunday! She spoke with us and they remembered us from when you guys were where Mateo’s was. She was happy to see us. She also witnessed what happened. Real classy completely ignoring the terrible service and are worried about a recommendation to another small business. A business you say I am affiliated with but I am NOT affiliated with and was not sent by another restaurant. Nor did anyone send me to your restaurant. I went to your restaurant to eat with my family and was treated poorly. Not sure what happened with you and Mateo’s or how they are scammers. Just giving an honest review of my experience with YOUR restaurant. A restaurant when been going to for years and have never been treated like theirs EVER! With your response, we will NEVER go there again!! I have went to your restaurant because I recommended it for my department at work to try. You were excited that we ordered for 9+ people and we chose your restaurant because you used to be close to one of our locations. I chose to eat there. I’ve recommended your food to others, so please tell me how you actually think I was sent by another business? This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard!!
Food was really good. Their portions definitely got smaller than they used to be. Their waitress we had was horrible. Had to ask her 3 times for creamer. Didn’t get any refills on coffee, brought out food with pancakes and she didn’t not bring syrup. Asked for some syrup and got a lot of attitude. Not sure what we did to her but she does not have manners at all. My daughter would thank her and she ignored her. They were very slow at this time and there were only 3 tables in the whole restaurant. Probably better off going to Mateo’s. Better food, portion sizes and...
Read moreIf heaven served breakfast, it would look — and taste — exactly like Apple Valley Pancake House.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, nostalgic aroma of sizzling butter, golden pancakes, and fresh coffee that wraps around you like a cozy blanket. The ambiance is pure Americana-meets-modern comfort: bright, welcoming, with rustic touches that make it feel like you’ve just come home — even if it’s your first visit.
Let’s talk food — because wow. The pancakes? Fluffy clouds of perfection. Golden, crisp-edged masterpieces with just the right balance of sweetness and texture. Whether you order the classic buttermilk stack or go bold with the cinnamon swirl or blueberry lemon, each bite is pure magic.
But it doesn’t stop at pancakes. The eggs Benedict was a revelation — perfectly poached eggs atop toasted English muffins, drenched in silky hollandaise that somehow tasted like it had been blessed by Julia Child herself. And the hash browns? Golden, crispy lace on the outside, soft and savory inside — absolute texture heaven.
Now the service — impeccable. You’re not just a customer here; you’re treated like family. Our server was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and full of genuine warmth. Coffee never went cold, plates were cleared promptly, and every recommendation was spot-on.
10/10 — A must-visit. A masterpiece of...
Read moreMUST GO! MUST GO! MUST GO! I have to say that Appley Valley Pancake House is the hidden gem that I didn't know we had. The diner is perfect, open, and can host a good number of parties. I found large paintings and modern/rustic design pieces to be just perfect. It keeps your attention as you wait for your staff. The staff was amazing, very attentive, and friendly. The food was absolutely the best part of the experience. My goodness. It was fresh and perfectly cooked. I would suggest anything on the menu. The coffee was very good and tasty. Not much sugar was needed because it does have sweet notes. I personally had the "make it yourself skillet". It was delicious and plentiful. If I had chosen to stick with my original choice of biscuits and gravy as a side, I would have ordered way, way too much food. The other meal ordered was the Monte Cristo. I tried a bite of it, and my goodness, it was delectable. The ham was juicy, and the Swiss cheese was ooey and gooey. I feel like a dusting of powdered sugar would have really taken it over the top. However, it was a very good and hefty sandwich. All-in-all, it was an...
