Frio Mexican Treats — Restaurant in Appleton

Service was quick although they were very busy. But for $16 it is disappointing. One very small scoop of icecream in their churro bar dish bit loaded up with stale cereal and fons of whipped cream. (We added an extra churro, which were chewy and not fresh like usual). We have been coming since they opened and haven't experienced this. The icecream also did not taste right. It seems since opening their second location the original one is getting put on the back burner. Very disappointed. My ddiaghter tried both and didn't like any of the icecream (she's had both before and liked them) I also thought the vanilla ice cream tasted like frozen milk and it was not good. Hoping this isn't the new norm but we won't be back for a long time.

To clarify we got one large churro sundae with and extra churro and a single scoop of chocolate. As mentioned that's how it used to be but it was cereal all round on top of maybe 1 scoop (it appeared to be less than the single scoop we ordered on the side) doesn't seem...

My cousin recently introduced me to Frio Mexican Treats. Most ice cream shops are clones of each other. This one isn't. This place is unique, it's a gem of the Fox Cities.

Hugo makes his own ice cream, his way, and that way is nothing but delicious. He has flavors you can't get anywhere else, because they don't exist anywhere else.

The staff is super friendly. They have a ton of things on the menu besides ice cream. The portions are good size. Everything I have tried has been great. They also have non-dairy options.

5 stars doesn't do this place justice. It deserves an 11 out of 5. I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time here this summer. Go. Support this local business. You won't regret...

Was craving some esquites and seen the reviews on this place. Barley had moved here, been trying different places. But the corn in a cup i got, it was not it. I had to throw it away because there was no taste, the corn was plain and the amount of water in that cup, horrible. The customer service was something else. No acknowledgement, they turned and seen me and turned back around. Made me feel awkward but still decided to give them my business. But after i ordered a basic corn in a cup with only mayo and cheese, then 2 scoops of ice cream and a bag of plain chips (which the employee said it was something else), and a total of 14 dollar or 15.
