This locally roasted specialty coffee comes from Epic Roastery in Appleton, WI, where quality, freshness, and ethical sourcing are at the heart of every batch and everything we do.

Our beans are organically grown and ethically sourced from top coffee regions like Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Indonesia—known for their rich, flavorful Arabica coffee.

Visited with my husband today and I got the Farmers Omelette with American Fries and Pancakes. The American Fries weren’t American fries though, they are shaved potato slices, like what you would find in a Scalloped Potatoes recipe. I don’t think what they cooked them on was hot enough or maybe there was just too much grease because I couldn’t eat more than a couple of them and had an upset stomach from the grease. Also the potatoes and omelette had no seasoning. Now I understand minimal seasoning so that the customer can put on what they want, but the omelette and potatoes had zero salt or pepper to even the smallest degree. It made the food sadly bland. The pancakes were good and were normal pancakes. With my husbands meal, he ordered a side of biscuits and gravy which he never received and the waitress still put on the bill. We tried to talk to our waitress about it but she simply put down the bill in front of us and sped off before we could ask about never receiving it. The waitress must have had way too many tables because we barely saw her. We went up to where you pay and asked them about it there. They did remove what we never received but from the overall experience, the food is expensive for what you get and I will opt to go to other breakfast places going forward. Very...

There's a reason this place always looks so busy from the outside! While you may have to wait to be seated depending on what time you come in, the wait is very worth it here at Mateo's. This reminded me of a brighter and more lively version of a small town diner that I grew up going to (that's no longer around sadly), with a more welcoming and friendly staff. The food here was exceptional! We came here because I wanted a waffle, and the strawberry banana waffle was exactly what I wanted! Super thick and fluffy with a very hearty dose of the toppings, and the syrup served on the side to reduce the level of sogginess. I also got biscuits and gravy on the side, and the gravy was super thick and tasty. The skillets are very generous in size, could easily feed multiple people from one skillet or get several meals out of it, and there are many options for skillets. There were so many tasty sounding items on the regular menu and the specials menu that we'll for sure be going back to try more. Definitely a place I would take friends and loved ones for a good...
