Stepping into Arcane Maid Café felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure. Despite arriving after closing hours, Maid Aoi graciously welcomed us in to order Boba, their hospitality setting the stage for a whimsical experience. Although arriving too late to order a proper meal, it seemed every dish was a culinary masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The cafe's ambiance, adorned with arcane motifs and filled with soft melodies, created a tranquil oasis where time seemed to stand still. Arcane Maid Cafe is a newer location of the maid cafe trend found across Japan, and this one doesn't disappoint. The service is exceptional, and they follow many of the traditions you find in Japanese maid cafes. They have a robust manga library within the store, as well as live performance shows on certain days. A highlight of the store are the collabs with anime/otaku culture related brands, such as one with Riichi City/Steins Gate, and also Vtubing properties such as the ongoing collaboration with Phase Connect.

The Phase Connect collaboration has a unique menu, as well as meet & greets with some of the talents as well as exclusive merch being sold. The menu has some unique dishes, such as a Dalgona coffee and spaghetti. I tried the dalgona coffee, and it was quite good, not too sweet but had a nice taste to it and wasn't that bitter, a part of coffee I don't enjoy. The rest of the dishes seemed pretty good as well.

I was very surprised that hololive chose this cafe for their first ever US hololive cafe collaboration. First it is a maid cafe which doesnt have much connection to the vtuber community. Secondly the cafe never had a collaboration to this size so there must have been some trust or connections involved. Regardless my OCG friends came to try our the Kaela meal, all the drinks and both desserts. Then I sort of understood- everything came out within 15 minutes and the food quality was surprising good and well prepared. The color of Subarus' drink is almost an exact match of her green and yellow, and Pekora's not just looks like her but also has a wintery-Japan taste which fits perfectly with not just the imagery but also the taste.
