I do not recommend this restaurant if you value the service it can provide. The service we received tonight (9/17/2023) was so bad that I decided to write a review to let others know about the fact (This is my first time to do so).
This was our first time to this restaurant. We tried to explore new restaurants nearby since we have been to the restaurants in the Arcadia mall for many times. We chose this one since we saw the google review score was 4.3. That is also why I need to provide my review to reflect the fact.
The food was OK, compared to the restaurants we have been to. The prices were reasonable, which might be an attracting point. The only dish I would recommend is Xiao Long Bao. Other dishes, like the fired dumplings and the grilled fish, were just so-so.
The reason I put one start is because the waiters & waitresses treated us just like "We owe them money!" From the first time we entered the restaurant to the time we left, the service was so bad. That might be because we took two Boba Teas purchased from the tea station nearby. I think it should be OK because they are not selling Boba Teas, right?
I still tipped them 18% since they still gave us what we asked for (e.g., extra napkins and chopsticks), even though in a "Black Face".
Stay away from this restaurant. This is what I recommend if you really want to have good service. There are many good restaurants nearby so you don't need to waste time...
Read moreNot as impressed with this place as some others, perhaps I ordered wrong. But I'm sure I ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings and I just got pork ones, according to my receipt. They were good though. The broth was too spicy for me to enjoy the seafood noodle soup but that's on me because it was marked spicy on the menu. I enjoyed the fish and noodles in it very much but the prawns were not deveined and cleaned properly, and not shelled so I had to reach into piping hot soup to fish them out and prepare to eat them which was not a great soup eating experience to me. Maybe others would like it that way or eat the shells? I dunno. The garlic green beans are as good as everyone raves about. But I didn't like that I couldn't order a combination of vegetables in one dish. The waitress snapped at me when I requested that substitution so that was a hard no. The tea was also delicious. I would have rated 4 stars if not for the sound of the cooks violently arguing in the kitchen and the suggested tip amounts being based on including tax. So I figured a custom tip. Waitress only started paying more attention to me because another staff noticed that I had Google reviews open and was reviewing other places before my meal. I would try them again with a larger group of friends and see if we get better attention and I will choose other...
Read more2025- remodeled. some great items now missing and many other food items are now different. went on a sat. lunch and it was quiet. I am concern about their biz situation. do take their "spicy" logo on items seriously. do eat the dumplings quickly as they get cold fast. the big cold marble tabletop helped the cooling as the plate is cool quickly. juicy pork crab dumplings was good. mildly juicy and must be eaten hot or the juice be gone. the panfried bun was not the usual as the skin was very thin and wet while the inside had little juice. flavored stewed beef noodle is spicy with pepper corn soup ingredient. seafood noodle soup was red, spicy, and angry. toouch spice covering most seafood favor in the soup. probably best was the house noodle.
2016- Food is on the good side, service not so much. 2 person running the place every time I am here lunch or dinner. Thats the problem. Restroom if you could avoid it, please do. Parking can be problematic but now 2 shops adjacent is remodeling (7/2016), not a problem for now.
The soup is the star of all the noodle except the braised beef spicy noodle. Duck noodle is excellent and did I...
