Quickly Cafe — Restaurant in Arcadia

I used to Love this place. It’s been a few yrs that I’ve The been in as I don’t live in the area anymore. I was very disappointed walking in initially. Completely different. I now I can’t say how long it’s been this way, but it seems as the owner takes no pride in appearance. 0- in cleanliness I ordered 3 drinks and was immediately turned off by the looks of the place. A completely green fish tank full of algae as soon as you walk in. Dusty faux vines hanging all over the place, cob webs, and chairs I would not sit in. The connected restaurant looked abandoned, dark with a weird smell. THE RESTROOM was disgusting! I still had hope for the drink. But that was also a disappointment. I ordered 25% sweetness and it tasted like pure syrup. There was stuff floating in my drink which I mentioned and was told it was tea leafs. After experiencing the lack of cleanliness I couldn’t take their word for it as they too seemed unsure, and ended up tossing the drink. This Quickly has been a staple in the area for as long as I can remember. It’s gone through many iterations (does anyone remember the old arcade machines they used to have?), and this iteration might be one of my favorites.

In addition to the Chinese + Taiwanese classics and teas, you can top yourself off with some Mexican food, courtesy of new management. Even some of the classic Asian dishes have a bit of a Mexican flare to them (I tasted some cumin in my chicken and potatoes stir fry which was a welcome surprise). And as always, their hot dishes come with a selection of refreshing teas.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to be picky here because not all of the dishes are winners. I’d stick with the Mexican dishes, pork chops, and popcorn chicken, but stay clear of the more uncommon dishes. In particular, I do not recommend the black...
