My wife and I are new to the area and were worried that we would not be able to find a good vegetarian restaurant like there were where we came from. Well, our worries were for naught. This is as good as it gets. Plenty of dishes to choose from and a very good selection of smoothies and baked goods. Old fashioned ambiance and service topped it all off for a delightful lunch. My wife had the Dragon and I had the Steamed Vegetable Salad. Both were delicious and both also had some very pleasant new flavors that we hadn't tasted before (Variety is the spice of life.) They also whipped up a smoothie to LIVE for. We are going back tomorrow to make sure it is really as good as we remember it. If you are thinking of becoming a vegetarian, this is a good place to learn how good vegetarian food can be. Your body will thank you. UPDATE 3/26/16 It has been more than a year since our review above. We still love this place. Nothing has changed except there are a few more delicious entrees to choose from. We eat here, at least once, every couple weeks....
Read moreUpdating again June 2025 Second time with the “new” crew working here. Definitely miss the woman that used to work here a LOT. I cannot get the happy waitress again this trip. Last time I tried was months ago and still this trip no tempeh. No almond milk for coffee. The vibe just isn’t vibing anymore. Makes me sad because this is seriously our very favorite place to eat in Arcata.
Wanted to update my review only to say wildflower is still AMAZING! We’ve been in a ton more times and have yet to be disappointed!
Absolutely LOVE this place. We aren’t local and we will go out of your way to eat here anytime we are remotely close. Everything is good. We’ve tried so many different things and have never been disappointed. The baked goods are so delicious too. Oh and the tofu tahini dressing is the business-try it. Definitely hit this place up...
Read moreCasual atmosphere, amazing menu, even better food! It was so refreshing to have a vegan/vegetarian restaurant amidst the plethora of burger places in the area. The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, warm, and you can tell they love their food and work. Walk in, order and take a seat wherever. Great little restaurant right across the way from cal poly and down the street from the plaza. I ordered Monterey brekky breakfast and was in love! The tzatziki sauce was fresh, light and flavorful! The hummus was a texture that perfectly matched the wedged potatoes and accented the seasoning. I opted for a tofu scramble instead of the poached eggs in my meal (personal preference). Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve lived in humboldt for 10+years and although I’m sure I went once before, I’ll never forget it now....
