Sweethearts Gourmet Donuts — Restaurant in Arizona

Safeway, that also sells donuts, is less than 100 feet away from Sweethearts Gourmet Donuts. Yet, when I'm shopping at Safeway, I always pass on their donuts and go to Sweethearts instead.

Sweethearts' MAPLE BARS are my favorite! They have a nice maple flavor, and they are not too sugary.

Sweethearts' OLD-FASHIONED BUTTERMILK donuts are my number two favorite! One can actually taste Buttermilk, and the light glaze coating adds just the right amount of sweetness.

By the way, Sweethearts also sells yummy croissant rolls. The rolls are flaky, buttery and light in texture.

Sweetheart's Gourmet Donuts is the best donut shop in Northern Phoenix. And, unlike the national donut chains, who do NOT bake their donuts on premises -- Sweethearts Gourmet Donuts are made FRESH DAILY INHOUSE -- right here in Anthem, Arizona.

Sweethearts gets my highest review rating , HIGH FIVE. Somebody here knows donuts and what people want. Some regions only know yeast donuts (like Crispy Kreem) or cake donuts, but don’t do both well. Sweethearts obviously loves to bake both varieties , do both very well, and offers generous and creative versions as well. Not a cookie-cutter donut shop. If you like apple strudel, old fashioned, the glaze is not overdone like so many shops make the mistake of doing. A great local donut shop in Anthem without a doubt. They do have a huge selection of donuts as well as croissants and Specialty pastries. They also have a good selection of breakfast sandwiches and bagels as well as smoothies and drinks. The only issue I mainly have his on the weekends they consistently Sell Out hours before closing. Well that's a sign of a good product, if you know you continually do not make enough of your items, simply make some more so you don't sell out 2 hours...
