By far the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Took 15 minutes to get my drink order, once we got our iced teas we placed our order. While waiting on our food I asked for more salsa and chips, the owner was our waitress might I add. She brought me a pitcher of iced tea instead of chips and salsa. Not sure what the confusion was there but okay. We received our food, 3 of the 5 orders were completely wrong. We asked for beans and rice with the Pollo Loco and we received a baked potato and steamed veggies. Also, they didn’t have the cheese sauce we ordered on them. We sent them back, they came out with cheese sauce and the same side instead of beans and rice. I was almost finished with my food before she brought out the tortillas for our meals, she didn’t leave me any, her response was “you’re almost done anyway “. Not the point, they are supposed to come with the meal. And to completely put the icing on the cake... she brought out our food while holding a 2 or 3 year old... not just any small child, one that happened to be half dressed. Literally didn’t have a shirt on and the poor youngsters diaper was showing. By far the worst experience any of us have had trying to just simply enjoy a meal. If you want the wrong food, a very rude owner as your waitress and a shirtless toddler helping bring your food this is the place for that! She had a actual waitress finish up with helping us, apparently it’s typical behavior of this establishment and of the owner to be completely rude and mess up orders. For good “Mexican” food stick with El...
Read moreDon’t be dismayed by the hole in the wall as it’s pretty darn good! Large menu, great pollo poblano! Vegetables and chicken were grilled to perfection! The chicken is quite thin but makes it perfect to be grilled to the right Christmas. I’d also say there’s higher quality ingredients used so I don’t mind paying slightly more for certain dishes. Almost all of the dishes are right on target for restaurant food so I highly recommend it for that leisure stop or passing through town. The environment is not a high-end restaurant, but I’d rather have a higher prices then the better environment Because you’re still getting high-quality ingredients! I came during happy hour and had a lime margarita on the rocks. The medium was just four dollars and they aren’t overly sweet— love that. I also love that they have a subtle hint of red pepper in their salted rim. Accessibility notes: the entrance is perfect for wheelchairs people with an unstable gate. The music level is low so you can talk at your table and not have to compete with loud noise. There is a great deal of walkway space in between tables as well. Parking is pretty accessible as well. It’s in a strip mall location with a clothing store and Billy...
Read moreIt was definitely my best experience there to date.
My fajitas came out hella fast-they were very good and plentiful, I ended up needing a takehome box, my wife ordered some shrimp steak thing and she said it blended very well together.
I was DD for today's date so I had a coke while she had a margarita of some kind and she enjoyed it greatly. After that she had two Vegas bombs that got her feeling good.
They redecorated since our last visit (may have been a while) and it didn't look too bad, even the bar was kinda snazzy, the atmosphere was pretty good.
Staff was all over, a good thing in this case, they kept busy any attentive. Our waitress kept her distance but was attentive, other staff that we talked to were friendly and responsive and helpful.
Overall a very good visit and ensured we will visit again soon, only my diet being a limiting factor. There is one thing, and it's a me thing but man I'd really love it if they could make what I consider is a proper sopapilla, oh well no one's perfect haha.
As of this visit, I recommend them for your next choice of outing whether as a family, date, or just...
