Binions, tucked away near the West Street underpass, is a unique find that mixes local charm with a lively atmosphere. Housed in what was once an old hardware and lumber store, the restaurant has embraced the industrial feel, repurposing the spacious layout into a vibrant gathering spot. The high ceilings and open floor plan give Binions an airy feel, while small, thoughtful touches make it feel cozy and inviting.
The crowd reflects the energy of the spot â lively, friendly, and full of people who seem genuinely excited to be there. Itâs the kind of place where locals mingle easily, and it has an undeniable âhidden-in-plain-sightâ appeal. You can tell the restaurantâs approach is all about preserving the buildingâs history while creating a spot that feels fresh and current.

Read moreUpdate February 2025 . No waitstaff? We get there around 5:15 on a Friday, took a seat, and waited and waited for someone to take our order. No one did. The guy setting up the gear for the sound system came over and said they didn't have a wait staff. Seriously?
Update July 2024. Prices seem to have come to market level. Food is pretty good, plenty of it, and fairly priced. Service is okay, but could be better if they focused more on the non-regulars sitting at tables instead of the regulars at the bar. And, isn't vaping prohibited by the no smoking laws? If so, the bartenders need to squash it, regardless if the vaper is a regular.
Original review. Still work to be done on the place, but good vibe going. Lots of potential. The 3 stars are for the price of a beer..$6.50 for a small plastic cup of beer...seriously? The old time Irish bar & grill about a mile to the east on Abrams sells the same size beer for $4. Pours on cocktails were small. They need to got to Haters Bar and compare their drinks. No comparison for same price. The Buffalo wings were a tad over cooked as were the chipsâŚwhich were freshly made. Service, while friendly, ...
Read moreI'm still undecided on this place. The first visit I had was my birthday a few weeks ago. Service was great, food and drinks were great. Today it took ten minutes to be greeted. When we ordered drinks, I was asked for a card to hold. They were NOT BUSY and I saw absolutely no need to have my card held, particularly when it hadn't been held last time, but I went ahead. I noticed other customers going to the bar for refills and cash out, but it didn't seem that any tables were being waited on. I wanted a second drink, so my husband gave me his. We weren't offered a second drink until 45 minutes into our visit. We walked away feeling unwelcome and our business unwanted. Probably won't return and most likely will share this with everyone I know. I'm certain my mom who had a bad experience here yesterday will likely tell EVERYONE who comes to her salon about her experience. Get it together, Binions! If you need someone to come in and TRAIN your bartenders and waitstaff, I'd be happy to!!! Seems to me they don't...
