Royal Nepal TX Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Arlington

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Royal nepal restaurant and bar and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Nepali restaurants I’ve ever visited. From the moment you walk in, the warm hospitality and cozy ambiance set the tone for a memorable culinary experience.

The menu is a true celebration of Nepal’s rich and diverse flavors. I tried the momo (Nepali dumplings)—both steamed and fried—and they were absolute perfection. Juicy, flavorful, and served with a spicy tomato chutney that had just the right kick.

The thakali set was another standout: a beautifully balanced platter with rice, lentils, vegetables, and a choice of meat curry. Every component was freshly prepared and bursting with authentic homemade taste. The gundruk (fermented leafy greens) added a unique, tangy note that took me straight to the hills of Nepal.

Service was attentive and genuinely kind. The staff took time to explain the dishes and even shared a bit about their cultural significance, which made the experience even more special.

Absolutely lovely place. The staff is so friendly and kind, helped us with ordering, and gave us complimentary Dosa (we ordered to go) we spent $48 in total for everything. This place is also Halal. (I didn’t get a chance to look for the Halah certification) I ordered Lamb Momos, Chicken Sekuwa, Spicy Lamb curry and Garlic Naan. My husband loves momos and is usually hesitant about lamb… that whole plate was gone ✨ spotless, 10/10 The chicken Sekuwa came with a lot of meat, and was a nice break from the curry! Spicy lamb curry, it was the perfect spice (we got medium) and I loved the thickness of the sauce. The Glaric Naan was MASSIVE! Two servings was more than enough for two people. I drove by this new place as I was entering Arlington to dog sit today. Decided to order carry out and couldn’t be more pleased! I ordered the Kwati Ko Soup, Jhir Chicken, Royal Chicken Biryani, and Garlic Naan. The owner and waitress also gave me complimentary samples of the Daal and Mulako Achar - holy heaven on my tastebuds!

I cannot stress enough how delicious, fresh, and exciting every dish was to experience for dinner this evening. Their official soft opening is on Friday, 3/7/25 and I’ll be bringing friends to join. This is an absolute gem! Definitely stop by and enjoy their tasty and unique menu options! Royal Nepal offers a bit of everything for everyone.
