This place was awful! After reading some of the reviews and checking out photos, I was pretty excited about driving clear across town to have a great meal. Needless to say we were let down big time this past Saturday! First indicator that we should've turned around was the lack of patrons. The salsa was pretty good, but it took nearly an hour to get our appetizers... it was only my husband and I, so we order the app platter and some papusas. The app sampler honestly wasn't bad, the papusas were AWFUL! It was literally some unseasoned masa with no cheese or pork... AWFUL! We ordered our entrees and after maybe 30 min of waiting, we asked about the wait to get our food and was told there was only one cook, the owner cooking all the food (remember there's NO ONE else there at this point but us... a part of 2!).. I really wanted to like this place, so I remained patient. When our entrees... well my entree finally came out, the plating was awful. I ordered "Jamie's Special" and my steak was literally as tough as jerky. We were told my husband's chimichanga was on the way... they were just "garnishing it". Upon arrival I immediately noticed chimichanga had a ridiculous amount of sauce poured over it. When my husband cut in, we see underneath this sauced mess the most burnt "chimichanga" ever... yes... BURNT! By now, I was completely over it. I told our server to take the tamale I ordered but was never brought out off our bill and we sent his plate back. She immediately brought the bill after telling us she also would not have eaten the chimichanga either. She then tells us "not rushing you, but I'm in a rush to go pick up my brother, so do you mind paying?...but there's no rush for you to leave." SERIOUSLY! We waited over 2 hours for apps and food we could not even eat, then was hurried to pay the bill! To be told the owner was cooking and he was comfortable sending the horrible quality (and burnt) of food out his kitchen is a huge disappointment! I can honestly say I've never experienced service this awful ever from a restaurant, and NEVER again would I ever patronize this place or recommend it to even a stray...

**Check to see if you've randomly been charged again from this place at a later date.

We went here for lunch on a work day. It wasn't busy but they were just opening so it was a little slow. The food was good and they seemed friendly. So our initial experience was a good one.

Almost 2 months later, all 4 of us that went, who had all paid separately, had new charges on our credit cards from this place. It seemed odd that we all got charged (different amounts from our original cost) all within a 3 day span.

We went in person to get it straightened out. The initial reaction of the owner was him telling us that he didn't get his money the first time, so he recharged us. We explained that we were charged the first time and this second time. We also showed him that they were totally different amounts.

He was reluctant to help us and initially told us to dispute it with our credit card companies. His explanations kept changing and apparently this had happened with others. He eventually rectified the issue, but if we hadn't noticed the charges, he would have gotten paid twice!

I can see errors happening but to have this happend to multiple people and then to not want to fix it and to basically blow us off - you work in customer service. The initial reaction should have been to apologize and find a solution, not tell us you didn't get paid so we should dispute it with our credit...

I haven’t been back since my last review. Today I decided to try again. Well the owner is still very rude and doesn’t like to be asked how something is prepared. I asked him if the Carna Asada was a thick piece and if they grilled it (I was in the mood for steak T-Bone at that for 18.99 sign me up). Very rudely he said yes that it was a restaurant after all. When I received the meal it was grey looking and didn’t appear it had been kissed by a grill ,and whatever cooked it cooked it dry as well done steak often gets . Did I mention I ordered it medium rare and told him I would rather it be less than more. When he finally came over to the table he asked if something was wrong with the steak I told him I didn’t think it was on a grill and it was way over cooked. He told me he would go in the back and take a picture of it and even get the model number. I asked him what the cost would be for the vegetables and charro beans and it was a mystery until my credit card was ran. I loved the charro beans and mixed vegetables!!!! I ordered a 16oz of beans to go for “6.99” their beans are really good and I have a feeling the price was to cover the overcooked steak lol And for haters I know I shouldn’t order things like that at a...

I didn't like the salsa. Thats one of the main things i like to enjoy at a mex restaurant but their salsa did nothing for me. The guac wasn't good either. Papusa ok. Pretty bland really. Brisket enchiladas were ok. Tough to chew and tasted more like pot roast to me. Sweet tea was nasty. Had that fermented/old taste. The fried plantains were good. Queso was good and i added a side of ground beef with it and that was good. I ended up taking the brisket out of the shell and put the rest of my ground beef in and i liked that better. Overall i would recommend and hope you find something you like. I probably won't return though.

Ok. S T A Y A W A Y!!! BLACK MOLD WATER SUPPLY LINES, SMELLS LIKE A BAR/SEWER DRINKING WATER LINES ARE BOTH CRACKED & CROSS WATER CONTAMINATED. And also when you order fajitas as soon as they bring them to your table sizzling they pour soy sauce all over it. Eeww!! I'm talking about tasting like having a bucket of s*** your mouth. The CHIPS are cooked in old grease & the very tasteless, generic the cheese was not real like the imitation corn tortillas. Nothing good here I can see it all. The only reason I gave it one star was to activate my review.

How is this place not packed all the time? The food is OUTSTANDING!!! I have liked everything I've eaten here. Gotta try the street tacos! You like it spicy, put that green avocado sauce on it....fire!!! Very reasonably priced! I will hate it if I walk in and I have to wait like other restaurants, but it would very well deserved! If you are in the area and you like Mexican or Salvadoran ....THIS is the place to go! Should be on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!
