D'Agostino's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Arlington

This was a delivery that I ordered for my husband who was doing an open house for a property and couldn’t leave. So I ordered a sandwich to be delivered on which I got roast beef, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. I also asked for extra mayo. It came with NO mayo. The tomato’s weren’t even ripe. Also, the veggies were diced not sliced as they should be for a sandwich. You shouldn’t use the same diced ones that you use for a salad. I understand it’s easier that way but they fall out of a sandwich!!!! He said it was the worst sandwich he’s ever had. I know you get busy at lunch but please slow down and get things correct. Also, please use ripe stuff if you are going to put them on someone’s sandwich. Especially when it costs 15 dollars. Never...

I grew up in Arlington heights in the 80's. I lived on their subs as a kid until I graduated from Minute Man Tech in 89... Then I move far away. I finally got back home 2 year's ago and first stop was back to D'Ags with my teen son. I said out loud "I can honestly say I drove 600 miles for a D'Agostino sub". We were there everyday and my son wants nothing else. Remember give me HOTS. After taking to the same owner he remembers me and my best friend/brother that worked for him, Big Tony Catalano. D'Ags is AWESOME. By far the BEST deli on the Planet!!!!. GREAT staff. Fantasticly fresh food. I asked Sam one day, what the shelf life on his turkey breasts were. He say, "I don't know. I go through 12 of them a day." LOL.

If you going there for lunch, you're better off calling in your order ahead to avoid the wait in line. There's usually a line going out the door from 11a til 2pm. And patrons willingly wait bc there is NOwhere else that comes close. Also, they'll set you up for ALL you party needs with both hot and cold food. The staff is extraordinary helpful & polite.
