TERRIBLE!!
This place has been a hit and miss with their food and service over the years, but after tonight, I will not be going back & will be telling others to not support. It started with something that should have been a very simple fix. I ordered a blackberry sundae, which I have ordered a few times recently and normally comes in a regular size cup.. the cup they were giving me was much smaller so I explained I’ve never received this size of a cup before and wanted what it usually has come in. Keep in mind this place has always been overpriced, but this was beside the point..the two girls were extremely rude and had attitude about it, but clearly said they would remake it into the cup size I received before. She went around the corner and came back a little too soon to where it was clear they did not remake it.. she handed me the bigger size cup with a lid on it, this time where before there was no lid. She handed it to me with a very sarcastic “Have a great night” I just drove home not wanting the rest of the food to get cold, but when I got home, I opened it to see they stuck the small original small sundae in the big cup to disguise it. They never remade it, but said they did. I then opened the lid of the smaller cup which appears to be spit on, on the the actual sundae. I called and talked to both of the girls who had nothing, but attitude and blatantly lied saying they never said they would remake, but only put it in a bigger cup for my convenience, which makes absolutely no sense. I brought up that it looked like she spit in it, and she did not deny it, but only kept defending the fact that their sundaes came in the smaller cup, which was not the problem. I then said I would be calling back to speak to the owner..she then said that would be fine, because the owner would believe her. This is the worst service I have ever received. I have worked in the food & beverage industry for 20 years. These girls should not be in these positions or the owner is not training them correctly with how customer service works in this industry. I will be contacting the health department, as well as letting everyone know to not support this business....
Read moreI usually love the fountain but service today made me rethink going back. I went to the drive through and waited several minutes for somebody to come. A girl finally answered so I was like 'okay, they must be busy.' I got sent to the drive through window and she tells me the total and asks if I want a receipt . I say yes, but don't get one (which I thought I would get at the end of the transaction). I waited like 15 minutes for my order. Which that part didn't bug me, cause I know the fountain takes longer usually. What did bother me was that she didn't offer a time frame about the food, or tell me it was gonna be a few minutes. She didn't say anything to me. She stood there talking with a friend and it didn't really seem like it was busy inside. She came by the window several times but said nothing to me, just looked out the window like she was expecting something. When my food did come, she handed it to me wordlessly. I said thank you, she said nothing.
I don't go to the fountain cause it's fast. I know it isn't. I also could find better priced places. But they have decent food, and are local and historical. I'm not expecting 5 star, but at least somewhat respectful service. I feel turned off by this place because it's service

I tried one more time to go to the fountain after my experience, and if I could give 0 stars I would.
I went to the drive through, on a WEEKDAY, I say that because it did not look busy. I went to the drive through, waiting a few minutes, and spoke to the speaker box "Hello?" Several times. I waited 5 more minutes after and nobody came on speaker and my existence was not acknowledged. I left at this. If you're going to have a drive thru, man it. Waiting a minute or so is okay, but not acknowledging your customers is wrong. I love supporting local businesses, but no longer will be supporting...
Read moreThe $$$ burger (I gave to my dog) was not up to "The Fountain Drive Inn" historical name. I picked up my order late, and I'm sure they wanted to go home, so I didn't mind that the $30 order was inedible. However, the next day, the manager told me she would remake it, but only this time and when it happens again I have to have a picture of it to get it remade. I informed her I recently moved out of the area and would arrive sometime after 2 pm. I called ten mins before I arrived and they took my order. When I arrived, the employee told me they couldn't remake my order, again??? Accuses me of not showing up to pick it up earlier in the day. . Yet I hadn't requested it to be made until ten mins previously. When at that time they AGAIN assured me they will remake my botched $30 order. I am severely offended by the way the employees handled the situation. I asked to speak to the manager, but I was told there was none on the clock and that she would contact me. She took my number and was going to give me the info for the owner and manager. Employee left for some time claiming to be getting the information , but when she finally returned, she tells me she can't give me any of that information, but that the manager will contact me . I inform her that I will be waiting for that call in my car in the parking lot and to let her know. I waited an hour and 45 mins and never got a text email ,or call . It's been 2 weeks and I've never gotten so much as an email or call me back. So sad that this place has lost that quality it once had.
