Ok so we are officially stoked on this place. I am an AZ native and Mexican is my jam! I like to say we are snobs when it comes to good Mexican. We have been going to our favorite for at least 15 yrs. We happened to be doing a job in Arlington and found this place. Thankfully we live only 20 min cause oh man this place is amazing. Salsa is great with just enough heat to still be palatable to my less spicy foodies. Verde sauce is amazing. Carne asada (husbands order, and go to everywhere) was so tender you could eat it with dentures! I know cause dad had a bite;) Dad said his chile relleno was really good. Impressive to me because mom makes these the best and they got compliments from dad, plus I feel like a lot of places canât seem to get those right. We went two nights in a row. First night I would say the service was OK. I never know if Iâm annoying the staff with my un ending requests for salsa. But the second night we had the same waitress and she must have had rough day the day before because she was super attentive and great the second. (Why I never review without at least 2 if not 3 experiences) Prices are average, I do wish the offered carne asada as a meat option with a lot of their dishes, s as that is what most restaurants do. Obviously itâs an option if you pay more and with the current economy I get that. My only other complaint is the salsa bowls need to be bigger, so they wonât hate me for asking for more every five seconds;) Overall the food was great, service is as expected. They will see more of me so that will always improve:) (I am a good tipper). Place is clean, bathrooms clean, no loud music, and the booths are tall so you can hear your people and not feel like you hearing everyone else or that they hear you. Location is convent, and there is a super cute gift shop/ pharmacy/ 2$ coffee shop, in the same building that I highly recommend to walk of your meal.
Update. 7/10/25 I donât know if they changed management or what? From the first bowl of salsa we realized this place changed. Salsa bowl is now tiny and the salsa is basically tomato water. When I asked for more I felt like she was majorly inconvenienced. I asked for lemon slices with my water, first they forgot (place was practically empty), then when I asked again I got one tiny little piece of lemon. Service was very unfriendly and almost uncomfortable. Even the food has changed. My husband said it got very generic, I would say his description is accurate. We left there bummed and feeling like we wasted our money. We were super excited and was seriously let down. After a hard days work doing concrete, all you want is a really good food. Super sad that such awesome place has...

After a day spent hiking in Darringtion we stopped here on our way home for dinner. We we're all starved and looking forward to a good meal. My kids ordered beef burritos-no sides. My husband ordered fajitas and I ordered 1 chicken enchilada with rice and beans.
My chicken enchilada had absolutely no flavor at all. It literally taste like plain chicken-no spices or onions, wrapped in a corn tortilla. Everyones rice looked crispy like it had been sitting under heat lamps for hours. It was crunchy! No exaggeration. My husbands fajitas we're good, but not for $18.99 with barley any meat-mostly peppers and onions.
The worst part about the meal was the dessert. On the menu they had pictures of each desert item and the sofa piaz looked delicious! They charged $4.95 for 4 sofa piaz. When they brought out the dessert it was literally 4 tortilla chips with cinnamon sugar and honey drizzled on top! Those are not sofa piaz. Sofa piaz are deep fried donuts! I refused to pay for them because that is not what they had displayed on their dessert menu for the picture. when I told the waitress to take the item off our bill she then went back and added unnecessary charges. She charged us $1 for the chips and salsa (that is usually free at every Mexican restaurant) $2 for sour cream that came with the kids burritos and she also charged me for my sour cream sauce on top of my enchilada for a $1. When I asked her why she was charging us a dollar for chips and salsa and all the other unnecessary charges she pretended like she did not understand English! We ordered waters and our bill was still $50 for all the unnecessary charges. We will not be going back to this place of business. They are ripping families off charging unnecessary items to make money! Before the bill did not say $2 for sour cream she went back and added that after I asked her to take off the fake sofa piaz, so in return I...

This is by far the best family Mexican restaurant Iâve been to since actually going to Mexico! The hospitality and presentation were absolutely perfect. I wish I had taken pictures of our foodâit looked so incredible that we both just sat there, in awe and gratitude, before we prayed. đ
I ordered the chicken taquitos to share, and they were so flavorful and moist.
We also had the carne asada, grilled to perfection, and the Candes Special, which featured the best chile relleno Iâve ever had, paired with carne asada. The plates were hugeâtire-sized!
Every detail was on pointâeven the tomatoes were perfectly cubed and everything was cut with care and consistency.
This restaurant far exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, everything was spotlessâthe entryway, tables, even the restroom. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. They checked in at just the right times, and refills seemed to appear before we even noticed we needed them. I blinked, and more chips were on the table!
After a long, rough workday, this level of food and hospitality made all the difference. I felt welcomed like familyâand I left feeling like I had gone home and dinner was waiting for me.
Iâm so grateful for the experience. This place deserves 10 stars. Youâre going...
