This is some great Mexican food. My buddy tried to order enchiladas and our server scolded him a little about wasting an opportunity to eat some real authentic mexican food. Gotta love that. He wound up talking him into the molcajete, which melted his face. I got the caldo de res, which was really good, but the beef cuts were really fatty so I didn't get much of that, but all the veggies and the flavor were spot on. All the portions were ridiculously huge. I don't think any of us finished our meal. They have some pool tables and other games and they actually have a wrestling ring in the dining area. He said that do lucha wrestling on Sunday afternoon. Gotta come back and check that out. They were cool about letting us horse around in the ring so we got some pics in there. My buddy decided he wanted to try a front flip into a roll of off of the second rope, a maneuver he quickly regretted when he landed flat on his back and messed up his tail bone. He's a little sore today. Ha. Good times.

This was my first time eating here and I will NEVER eat here again. I ordered my food on GrubHub. Everything about the order was wrong. I asked for a couple of things to be changed about my food, not HUGE changes but very simple. I even asked for the changes in Spanish seems how 3/4 of their menu is in Spanish. OMG....the kitchen staff couldn't even be bothered to cut the meat on the Carne Asada. Would they have taken the plate to the table without cutting the meat had I eaten in the restaurant? The refried beans were awful...literally the worst taste I have ever had. I asked for flour tortillas and got corn. I also asked for a little side of shredded cheese and sour cream to be included and didn't get that. The nachos have more lettuce and pico than anything and I won't be eating those because they have the awful refried beans on them. Thank God GrubHub refunded some of my purchase so Yay, GrubHub! You clearly know what customer service is!

Overall, my experience at Guadalajara Mariscos Mexican was disappointing. The ambiance felt outdated and somewhat uncomfortable, and the cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired. While the service provided by the Hispanic staff was lacking, the employees of Indian descent stood out positively with their attentiveness and professionalism. One major drawback was the exorbitant prices, particularly for something as basic as a beer. The restaurant's practice of including the tip in the bill, especially for a single beer priced at $8.00, felt unnecessary and off-putting. Considering the high cost and subpar experience, I would prefer to spend my money elsewhere, perhaps at Texas Live, where I can get better value for my money.
