I attended a Dallas Cowboys Monday Night Football game in early November, and although the Cowboys didn’t win, the entire experience was absolutely unforgettable. From start to finish, AT&T Stadium lived up to its reputation as one of the most impressive sports venues in the country.

I arrived early to soak in the pregame atmosphere at the Miller Lite House, located right outside the stadium gates. The setup was incredible — an open area with a full-size replica Cowboys field, surrounded by bars, food vendors, and fans everywhere. There were plenty of options for drinks, whether you wanted a cold beer, a mixed drink, or something nonalcoholic. Food choices were plentiful and looked great. The Cowboys mascot was out on the field taking photos and interacting with fans, and the live band performing filled the space with music that gave the area the energy of a concert. The crowd was lively, excited, and full of team spirit. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders even performed a pre-game show that had everyone cheering before kickoff. The whole scene was electric and made the buildup to the game just as fun as the game itself.

Once I headed inside, I was lucky enough to have club-level seats, which provided an upscale and comfortable experience. The club area had a sleek, high-end look with stylish decor and an open layout. There were several bars and food stations, including a BBQ spot that felt more like a restaurant than a concession stand. You could actually watch the chefs preparing your food right in front of you, which was a nice touch. The seats themselves were padded, spacious, and offered a great view of the field. But it’s almost impossible not to be mesmerized by the massive HD video board hanging above the field — it’s truly something you have to see in person to appreciate.

The atmosphere inside the stadium was beyond anything I’ve experienced at a sporting event. Every detail, from the lighting to the sound system, made the game feel larger than life. As a lifelong Cowboys fan from out of state attending my first game at AT&T Stadium, it was an emotional experience seeing the team take the field in person.

During halftime, Medal of Honor recipients were honored, and country music legend Lee Greenwood performed I’m Proud to Be an American live. The level of pride and respect shown for our country was powerful and gave me chills.

Even though the final score wasn’t in our favor, the night was everything I hoped it would be and more. This was the worst visit that I have ever had at the AT&T Stadium! I called guest services not 1 not 2 but 4 times to ask questions about ADA assistance just to be sure I didn’t have another black out trying to get to the front gate! Three ladies I spoke to were informative and nice but that Supervisor has NO EMPATHY for those with disabilities the way she spoke to me was rude, disrespectful, and quite condescending. She made me feel like I was ignorant and stupid ALL at the same time. It’s very clear to me that when you do your due diligence people still don’t care. I would like to say to ALL with disabilities whether they be physical or not don’t ever let people treat you so bad that you don’t want to attend events. I have been to several games but this one took the cake. I miss when people cared about those with disabilities I cannot change my medically diagnosed disabilities but I will not be quiet when I am treated unfairly. I did not receive assistance getting to the gate I had to force push myself to the gate on my walker. Then this tall man who was slaps an employee wearing a light blue collar AT&T shirt said I don’t know why they are acting like they don’t know the procedure. He said they told him it would be 15 minutes before a wheel chair could get to me. I was given a cold bottle of water thank you so much for your care and concern. He pushed me on my walker to the place to scan my ticket then my daughter pushed me the rest of the way. Then we get to our seats and find out I have to check my walker in and I couldn’t leave it behind the chairs where we were sitting. I already over heated, in pain, and butt hurt again because here I go again about to miss the game again that I paid for. Out of four hours and a three hour drive we saw 26 minutes of the game. We are ALL consumers and we ALL want to be treated fairly and with the upmost respect. I have been a cowboys fans since I was a little girl growing up poor made me change when I had my daughter. I want her to see the world and see that people can be kind and considerate. She said momma we should have just watched it at home on the tv. I said it’s the live experience for me that makes me appreciate the game even more! I lovvveeee my cowboys nobody can ever make me switch teams but I do want to be a voice for those voiceless. Everyone with disabilities if you have ever been mistreated just because someone can don’t let them make you feel like you can’t go out in the public because of your disability. Thank you to the staff and vendors who went above and beyond to make sure I was okay because when the room started spinning I knew this was going to be an eventful experience. I won’t be bullied by anybody AT&T need to make some serious changes to the ADA procedure because people with disabilities deserve to be taken care of and...
