L.A. Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Arlington

We were visiting from Houston and needed a place to grab a quick bite to eat. LA was down the street from the hotel. It is easily accessible from the metro line. Upon walking in I was a little skeptical because I don’t really eat at too many dove bars and that’s what it reminded me of…a neighborhood dive bar. However, I am sooooo glad I gave them a chance. I created my own burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had. It was char broiled and was seasoned very well. Their onion rings are homemade and delicious. The service is A+. A little dive bar, but the owner has a big ego like most of them. Where complacency has settled in with the expectation that people will always come in to a bar. Over priced drinks, limited selection of over priced and low quality food. Compounded with poor customer service where the bartenders and servers convey a sentiment they are doing you a favor by tending to you. Rather than employing their own bouncers like most places, they contract some hole in the wall security company out of PG county , MD where they employ thugs off the street with no training on how to seal with customers. Spent new years here and had a great time. Wanted to go to the pub around the corner but couldnt find parking and parked infront of this place. Everyone welcome says a sign and since i wasnt in my sunday best I felt comfortable entering. 80ies themed karaoke night...my cup of tea! A french onion burger some fried pickles and the best jalapeno poppers i have had later...off to the drink menu...and after a couple of irish car bombs and several other drinks it was off to sing.
