If I could give this place zero stars I would.. I recently moved to the area, found this place on Google Maps and thought I'd pop in to purchase a pack of human hair. When I got there the man behind the counter asked if I needed help and I told him I was checking for just the one pack of human hair and would like to see what they had available. He pulled out 2 options, 1 human hair "blend" for 25.99- 9" that was raggedy as Anne, and the only other option was a raggedy Anne looking bundle that looked expired and crusty and told me it was $209.00 it was also 9". I had my Bluetooth in at the time and after I said no ty and chuckled I walked away. I made the remarks to my sister that it was "fitting for the area" because honestly everything is expensive in crystal city, they hike prices and even sell incense individually out of the packs 50cents a pop for regular $1 incent packs .The man who assisted me heard the remarks and confronted me even though i was walking away.. very aggressively and was asking me what I had to say, I repeated myself he got very loud and rude made a scene about how he didn't make the prices and blah blah it was embarrassing.. he just kept goin on.. honestly I do understand inflation is hitting us all hard but most of the items in this store are WAAAY over market price, some things even 200% hiked or more. That's not the way you treat your customers anyhow.. I hate to see these stores pop up in communities and just pull prices out of there azzes just because they feel like they can . If you are looking for great customer service, value for your money, and decent prices, Don't go anywhere near this place!! They have a dusty selection of hair and even the braiding hair prices are hiked up through the roof. I'd rather spend my money with people who atleast treat me like a decent human being and atleast "pretends" to be friendly. Tbh he was giving me very racist vibes and if I would have been with a man I doubt he wouldve been so rude to me.. please dont trust these brainwashed jigga boos, this place is trash but don't take my word for it I HIGLY advise you call and ask about the price of what your looking for before you waste...

My experience with this beauty supply store changed drastically between Monday and Saturday. When I first visited, the owner was extremely helpful. The store was empty, so he had time to walk me through the limited human hair bundle options available. Despite the small selection, I appreciated his attention and also noticed the store was well-stocked with other products.
I ended up purchasing two bundles for an upcoming appointment, but later realized they weren’t suitable for the hairstyle I had in mind. When I returned on Saturday to see if I could exchange them or find something better, the energy was completely different. While the owner initially greeted me, his demeanor shifted as soon as I mentioned a return. He became defensive and pointed out the return policy rather abruptly. I calmly reminded him that during my first visit, he mentioned I could return or exchange them if needed—likely excited about a new customer. Instead of working with me, he dismissed the conversation and became combative.
I made it clear I wasn’t trying to argue, but his defensiveness made the interaction feel hostile. I even expressed that I accepted the policy and was still open to buying something else to fit my needs. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and basic customer service made that impossible.
I ended up leaving the unopened bundles there, as I no longer felt comfortable using them. He told me he would have to throw them out because they were “open,” which they weren’t—likely just something he said in front of other customers. I can’t confirm what happened after I left, but the entire encounter felt disingenuous.
Sadly, I won’t be returning and do not recommend shopping here. I’d rather shop online where I can avoid having experiences like this. Also he mentioned having cameras to prove he wasn’t cutting me off, I hope he use those cameras to reflect on his interactions from Monday compared to this recent...
Read moreIm literally sitting in my car in the front of the store now. Upset, I went in to buy (2) items glue which cost a total of 10.58 I gave Mohammed $20 the change I should of received; $9.42 as I left the store I placed my daughter in the car and as I was about to get in the car it hit me that I did not receive my change, but before I went I wanted to double checked my things just to be sure I didn't misplace it: my wrist let, diaper bag (the two items I brought in) and not was in the expect $0.32 and my ID card. So I quickly went told Mohammed that he may have forgot to give me my change because I did not it, he tells me that "I gave you, your change. " I said "sir I don't believe you did because I checked everything and there is no change." He proceeds to tell me that he did. And accuses me of being a liar. Now I've only lived in Va for maybe three weeks and I am officially convince that Va is worst than NY. I only do business with Asian owned beauty supply stores. Lesson learned. Mohammed thank you for also adding to population of Virginians to make the military move unpleasant. People make mistake it's called...
