I’m visiting from Florida and planned on meeting my son for dinner. While passing through Arlington VA something jumped right out at me and when I tell you I couldn’t of turned my car around fast enough, when I saw PIE written in soft glowing neon lights, that would be an understatement. I walked in the door and knew at that moment that I didn’t make a mistake. The air was filled with the smell of wonderfulness. They were just getting ready to close, but they couldn’t of been any more accommodating. The owner greeted me as we chatted she told me this adorable story about how she and her business partner started the pie shop. She showed me some of the pies she had left and I chose a pumpkin pecan pie for my son to take home with him. As we continued to chat I mentioned I was from Florida. She said ā€œWell then I guess you wouldn’t care for key lime pie since you’ve probably had the best.ā€ I said..ā€ Ahh I’m a connoisseur of key lime pie!ā€ So she gave me a mini pie to try and I’m here to tell you it’s the REAL deal. Absolutely delicious! What an awesome experience that was! You HAVE to stop by and get yourself some PIE!

We were excited to try this Pie place because we saw the photos and reviews. We bought a ā€œTurtle Pieā€ which we were looking forward to because it combines chocolate and Pecan. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. While the filling is very good, the pie itself is non-existent. For instance, you cannot cut a piece without everything crumbling and the bottom Pie crust is ā€œstuckā€ to the bottom of the box (this somewhat appears in the photo). Moreover, whatever crust we are able to salvage (including the upper corners) was extremely dry and tasteless (tastes a bit stale and zero crunch). The three stars are for the filling and zero star for the Pie itself. If the actual pie crust were to be crunchy and flaky, this could have has the potential to be excellent. Edited after response: Appreciate the response but the Pie above was consumed straight from the store, it was not in the fridge. We had it about 25 minutes after we picked it up. I reached out by email.

In the words of Homer Simpson, "mmmmm pie". My family's new rule of dining out is to never order items we can make this ourselves at home.I was skeptical when my husband suggested we come here for breakfast. Boy was I wrong! We had one of the pies of the day, which was a pie with various types of meats and cheese. I got the chicken pot pie and we got a whole apple pie for the road. the first thing you notice when you walk in are all the people making pie rolling out dough. the the cashier was knowledgeable and able to answer questions about a pie and its ingredients. The crust on all the pies are just unbelievable. We ate the apple pie several hours and it was unbelievably crunchy. The texture, the chew both create a pleasant sensation and the desire for more. The ingredients are high quality with a good use of fresh herbs for the savory pies. I look forward to coming back here. Mmm, pie.

I am so glad this place exists. Every pie I've had here is the best pie I've ever had. I am not exaggerating! You do not need to search for your favorite one, because anything you get here will be your favorite. I'm a vegetarian and love their savory veggie pies as well as every single sweet pie I've ever tasted here. I have tried pies here that do not even sound good to me when I read the description, but then it ends up being the best thing I've ever tasted. I do not know how this magic is possible, but I'm glad it exists. Love buying these pies as gifts, too -- major crowd-pleaser every time. Also love that they include a sticker with instructions for safekeeping, freezing, and re-heating, especially helpful when giving as a gift in my experience.

I think these pies are so good that I actually just went through and read the negative reviews to understand what problem anyone could possibly have (I am nosy and I am procrastinating doing my laundry...) and most of them are just complaining that they sell out of daily options quickly. YES, THEY DO SELL OUT. BECAUSE THEY ARE AMAZING. JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER GREAT FOOD PLACE ON THE PLANET.

...Pro tip: Just pre-order! And then all of your life's worries will be resolved and you will be cramming your favorite pie into your face with no wait in line and no disappointment that your preference was sold out. I always pre-order here and you literally just pop in at the scheduled pickup time and they hand it over with a smile. Anyone complaining about such an easy and pleasant process gets 0 stars from me for being a silly human being.

That being said, I was just there picking up an order today (a pre-order) and at the last minute decided I wanted to grab one more full size pie to gift to someone and an extra tiny pie, and they had plenty of options in stock and ready to go. So, if you're thinking ahead -- pre-order! If you're coming in at the last minute, try to come early to have the most options. If you're coming in at the last minute at the end of the day on a holiday, then that's just your own fault -- go to a grocery store instead and have the lackluster pie you deserve ;)

Random side note: I am a nurse and I really appreciate how this place handled the pandemic. They really made every possible effort to be as safe as possible while still running a viable business in a tiny space, and I can only imagine how difficult that was (and still is, as things open up). Kudos to whoever runs this place for being so thorough with pandemic precautions, it is appreciated! And kudos to the staff here, who have always been pleasant, patient, and kind pre-pandemic, mid-pandemic, and still now as...

I don’t understand how anyone could give this place anything less than a five star rating. I came across this spot online and dragged my husband during his work break to try it out. The staff - from the cashier to the working women who you can see literally making all the delicious pies in front of you - were so warm and kind. I got the meat Sambusa, a mini keylime pie, banana pudding cup, and mini apple pie. After the first bite of the sambusa I was transported to my grandmothers kitchen. The quality of the lamb was so fresh. The recipe is so simple yet so flavorful. They are very generous with their portions. I couldn’t stop eating I was meant to share it with my husband. I got key lime pie for myself and he got the apple pie - I decided to taste the apple pie and yet again took a first bite and finished the entire thing. I am someone who counts my calorie intake but I couldn’t resist. You can tell the food is made with so much love and intention. I’ve never written a review this long. Please check it out and support! they also keep their website very timely and tightly updated so you know what’s in stock before you visit - everything is locally sourced too! I’m so happy I found this gem in Arlington. I’m sorry I have no picture to share I...
