Amazingly refreshing buffet from all over middle east! The best thing about this restaurant is that the quality of all foods in the buffet is home made quality not restaurant quality! You feel like you have been invited to the home of the most welcoming host who put their heart and love in their food for their guest.
The 2nd great thing about this place is they are not afraid of putting multiple artistically made dishes of lamb and "good" non-starchy vegetables like cauliflower and eggplant! They even have fresh herbs like green onion, radishes, basil, mint on the buffet which make it super healthy.
The 3rd great thing about this place is not about what they do but more importantly about what they don't do!
Many low quality buffets only create a facade of variety while almost all of their meat dishes are nothing but chicken soaked in dozen different colors and sauces presented as dozen different dishes! But here in Al Hamra variety is real!
I have seen many Indian buffets that tell you they have vegetarian dishes but then you see they count starch (rice and potato) as vegetables! Not here in Al Hamra, they have starch and potato too but they also have non-starchy vegetables!
I have seen many low quality middle eastern buffets that if you ask them "Do you have lamb", they respond "Yes, we have gyro which is a mix of beef and lamb"! Gyro is like the biggest fake invented in the restaurant industry and I cant say enough how much I appreciate that in Al Hamra they dont have any gyro at all! In here lamb is really lamb, pure and simple, no BS about so called mix of lamb in gyro that may at best have some 10% lamb!
To conclude, this place is run by decent honest warm welcoming genuine people and couple of ladies who are clearly passionate about what they do as seen in their...
Read moreA place that makes up for its frugal ambience with absolutely classy food.
To begin with, the food is out-of-this-world delicious, especially the lamb. What makes it most interesting is that it's all-you-can-eat. But, you can eat only so much of such delectable food. We did not mind using the disposables as long as the food we filled those with were something to look forward to. The drinks in the fridge were also exotic, and something you don't get everywhere. The cherry on the cake was the Turkish coffee. The food is also very reasonably priced.
However, I would be happy if the place had a sign above the entrance. For a moment, I was confused where to go. Also the interior decor and the ambience within leaves much to be desired.
There is adequate parking in the premises.
Overall, a good place to go to, if not for anything else, but the quality...
Read moreMy wife and I ate ate here after a friend posted to FB. They opened the doors early and started serving 30 minutes early when they found out Google maps open time was wrong for Sundays. The lady behind the counter was SUPER NICE and walked us through each dish and what was in it. The food was delicious and my wife's only complaint was she couldn't eat any more. The flavors were relevant but not over powering to each dish. And either before or after eating, check out the market connected next door. I am so glad they bring such a tasty extravaganza to the normal basic restaurant and market scene. I spoke to whom I believe was an owner just before we left. Super nice and very great full we came in to eat at the establishment. I strongly...
