I saw them on tiktok, of course. HAD TO TRY THEM, and just in time since both of my faves closed. We have to keep this one open and give them our business. I am tired of good places going away. For starters, they are so sweet. That means a lot to us. We know that love is going into the food, and you can taste it. We went safe ordering - our faves chicken shawarma and falafel meals. I am a falafel snob and am skeptical. This is a hit hit hit for me. The oil is clean here, you can taste the freshness and flavors explode in your mouth. The falafel stayed crispy, even on a bed of lettuce. Soft inside. Garlic sauce? Bursts of lemon and garlic... it is absolutely amazing. I could drink the garlic sauce! I love this falafel, I probably won't try anywhere else. Chicken shawarma was juicy and so full of FLAVOR! We took our time tasting slowly, and I just felt full of love eating this meal. Pita is soft and pillowy. Hummus isn't grainy, just smooth and delish. And the rice. It is perfect, seasoned, soft. I think they recommended some things to try, so next time, I'll be going out of comfort zone and try what they recommend. I hope they gain more traction and stay open forever. Thank you for feeding us today. You have...
Read moreThis was my very first time trying Egyptian food and I have to say, I was blown away. I didn’t know what to expect going in, but everything I ordered had so much flavor and was completely different from anything I’ve tried before. It felt like a real introduction to a whole new cuisine, and it was honestly exciting.
What really stood out just as much as the food was the staff. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or give suggestions. You can tell they genuinely care about making people feel comfortable and at home, even if you’ve never had Egyptian food before. That kind of hospitality makes a huge difference.
On top of that, the restaurant itself was spotless and inviting. The atmosphere was relaxed but friendly, which made it easy to just sit back and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. It’s the kind of place you immediately feel comfortable in.
I left really impressed and already looking forward to going back. If you’ve ever been curious about Egyptian cuisine, or you just want to try something new in a welcoming environment, I can’t recommend this...

If you’re looking for authentic Egyptian/Mediterranean food in Arlington, you have to try Cairo Gyro & Grill!! They just opened 2 weeks ago! It’s conveniently located right next to Halal Import Food Market (also amazing if you want to grab groceries after you eat).
The food here is absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I’ve had a lot of Mediterranean food over the years, but this is hands-down some of the best hummus and babaghanoush I’ve ever tasted. The shawarma, Fatoush salad, and falafel are packed with flavor, and everything is generously portioned.
On top of the food, the service makes this place shine even more. The owner, Ayman, is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in. You can tell they care about the quality of both the food AND the customer experience.
This spot is definitely a...
