Place was packed. Granted, it was a holiday weekend, so that’s to be expected to a degree. One setback was the fact that there was no wait list at all. It was every man for themselves. Grab an open table. However, with no open tables, and several couples and families waiting, once a table opened, it was grabbed up quick and sometimes by people that showed up well after you did. There really should be a hostess that takes names down and sits in an appropriate order. Took a little while to get a waitress, but again, they were busy, so it’s to be expected. She was nice and helpful, and we ordered our food. Table was dirty, but also probably due to being busy. We did get someone to come wipe it down. Food took a little while, as we assumed it would, but came warm. We did start with some fried pickles, and they tasted more like friend salt, with some pickle flavoring. Never had such salty fried pickles before. Yes, I expect them to be salty, but these were over the top. So much so, that I struggled through my burger due to the nautical sauce on it that was also very salty. Had to scrape most of it off to be able to eat it and still didn’t finish it. I think I just happened to order 2 salty items and just ended up being too much salt for one meal. Therefore, I’m not dropping the review for that reason, because I feel it’s quite possible that if I ordered different things, or at least not these 2 together, that the outcome would be different. Otherwise, aside from what was mentioned, it was a nice place, and staff did their best to keep up with...

We were visiting from MN, and it was our last night In town. We went here after seeing good reviews but wow was it bad. My “buffalo chicken sandwich” that should’ve come with the sandwich fixings, didn’t. The bun was larger then the chicken, the chicken was so thin I barely saw the chicken in it, and the buffalo sauce was MAYBE a tablespoon on top. It was thin chicken on a thick bun with some sauce. So dry, so bland. The mushroom and Swiss burger my boyfriend got looks like a frozen patty from the store with sliced dollar cheese and two mushrooms. Didn’t even waste time on the drinks. The beer had a large selection so if you like to go out and just drink this is probably the place to go, it seemed well priced for drinks I just don’t know if it’s any good. The waitress didn’t even say “thanks guys have a nice day” she brought water, took our orders, brought them and then dropped the tab. Could’ve been a bad day for her or something so I wasn’t even really going to be bothered to be mad about it. I just know I...

The first time coming here was very pleasant, the waitress was nice and explained everything on the menu and even recommended certain items on the menu. We had a great time!! Second time going there it was a bit weird, there were two bartenders/ waitresses there. One greeted us almost yelling and seemed a bit annoyed. Eventually we noticed that after we got our food we weren’t getting refills or even someone to ask if we were ok, all of the sudden another girl started waiting on us and we noticed the other waitress kept talking smack to the poor girl and telling her how long she’s been at work and mocking her. I don’t know what happened that the original waitress we had disappeared. I even had to get up to go tell them by the bar that I needed another drink. Great food, reasonable prices but the service needs an upgrade. We left the waitress a good tip for her stepping up and actually...

Food is fine, nice options. The Santa Monica sandwich was good, tasty waffle fries. Hush puppies were good and a unique option, Chips and dip were not. My daughter had a salmon salad and said it was good. My drink order got mixed up twice but they fixed it. Typical bar vibe, if they have the garage door open it’d be nice but they didn’t when we were there. Downtown so there isn’t really parking.

Great food great service cool little place in downtown Okoboji. Cut the lobster grilled cheese sandwich and it was amazing. Lobster with cheese bacon on thick bread of Texas toast. Had a side of hush puppies that had little chunks of cheese in the middle. Needed a nap afterwards, but were well worth while worth the calories. That’s what you do on vacation you indulge.
