La Barca Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Arnolds Park

Ok so to start off, the food was not super greasy or oily, I didn't feel weighed down after like alot of mexican restaurants or even cacausian restaurants. Yes I said white people food. My body felt happy afterwards, I wad also honestly suprised with how good the food tasted to. Honestly tho, the fact I didn't feel weighed down & sick after like when I've eaten at fast food places that yse seed oils, is enough to earn my respect. Doesn't seem like they are cutting corners, or using cheap ahh ingrediants. Also today was mothers day, & I was there with my partner, & daughter, the waitress was really nice and brought my lady flowers. :) I am super satisfied, best mexican i've ever had, this was my first visit, I will be returning again. Please for the love of god do no lower your food quality or start using super heavy oils!!! I really hope this restaurant sticks to its healthier methods bc tbh i'd be sad if something this good was ruined. 10/10 would reccomend, its not some extragavent super foreign exotic rich people food, not some cheap ahh mexican, its a very grounded, energizing, tasty, down to earth, healthy food, simple, & amazing...

We came in to see the place with 6 tables with food sitting on there. They sat us in a booth that wasn’t wiped off. Sat us down and realized they needed to wipe the table which led to the food on ending up on our laps. 20 minutes we finally get served our drinks, mind you they’re not busy. 2 people finishing their drinks waited for quite some time for the ticket, after yelling for the server to give them the ticket she finally shows her face but doesn’t acknowledge them needing to pay. This place is as authentic as you can get. They brought us free chips and salsa as soon as we sat down, and extra bowls of chips for the large table. The food was top notch, the server was incredibly friendly and got all of our orders (EIGHT of them) right, despite many of us having special requests. The food came out quickly, too, which surprised me. We ended up sharing many dishes with one another because of how good they tasted. The portions are great for the price, and the music was a nice touch. La Barca absolutely deserves this five...
