I love the family that owns this restaurant and have great past experiences here, but recently my experiences haven’t been the same. Prices went up, which I completely understand in our current economy, but also food quality has went down. We recently ate here and waited over an hour for our food, which I expect in the Lakes area on a Saturday night. I ordered a $30 beef Oscar and could not believe what I was given. I took one bite and gagged. I am not a picky person and will eat mostly anything, and this is the first time I have ever had an experience like this. The hollandaise sauce was watered down and tasted like asparagus water, there were ginormous chunks of imitation crab meat instead of it being shredded up, and chopped up ends (no heads at all) of asparagus that were so woody I couldn’t even bite into them. It was also very cold. I asked her if I could send it back and she asked me if I wanted to try to scrape the sauce off of my steak and box the steak up to take home, to which I replied no thank you. She then gave me my bill and charged me for the meal. I told her I literally couldn’t even eat a bite of it so felt I shouldn’t have to pay for it. She brought it back to the cook who was the shift manager for the night and the cook said that there was nothing they could do because the asparagus comes in a FROZEN BAG. For a $30 meal, I feel like I should be getting fresh asparagus that is not cooked into the hollandaise sauce. They eventually decided to not charge me but it took them over 30 minutes to come to that decision. My daughter loved the chicken strips and fries though, so if you eat here, maybe keep it simple instead of choosing a...
Read moreI came here to eat, not to grow old. Two hours for food that tasted like cafeteria leftovers? Be serious. I could’ve cooked better blindfolded, in the dark, using an Easy Bake Oven and bad intentions. By the time the food hit the table, I had already gone through the five stages of grief, and then had to grieve the fact that the meal wasn’t even worth it. Mid is a compliment. This was low tier, overpriced nonsense served with the enthusiasm of a DMV worker on their last day. The servers? Vanished like my appetite. You’d think they were hiding from the embarrassment of working here, and honestly, I don’t blame them. If I could give fewer stars I would. I don’t know if the kitchen was trying to invent fire from scratch or what, but the wait time for food was insane. Waited over two hours just to get something that tasted like it was cooked with resentment. Seriously, the service was nonexistent, acting like they were doing us a favor even acknowledging our presence. No updates, no apologies, just blank stares and disappearing acts. At one point, I genuinely wondered if we were part of some social experiment to test human patience. Spoiler alert, I failed. Save yourself the time, money, and disappointment. Wished I had gone to the gas station across the street and eaten...
Read moreHorrible experience. We ordered drinks a mimosa and a water the water was forgotten about until she came back 10 minutes later to take food orders. I got my water it has a floater in it and it was 3/4 full seemed off. She took our food orders and we got food but wasn’t ours she took the plate of pancakes to another table and my plate as well leaving just my boyfriend with his food. My boyfriend ate his food, he then was finished and I waited another 5 minutes before I got my black toast and wet disgusting eggs. She said because of us having to take turns eating with the mess up she would take 10% off of MY food taking less then $1 off! As well as a cook coming out of the kitchen and taking a child back with him and then the kids running in and out while food...
