Noodles, noodles, where art thou, noodles?

Changan Kitchen is located inside the 99 Ranch Market in Artesia, opening a year ago or so. Specializing in noodle dishes, including handmade, I'm always eager to give a new place a try.

Lunch Specials 11am - 4pm M - F- Changan has various $9.95 lunch specials, which at that price, is a good deal.

SL5 - Beef w/ ginger & green onion (kung pao) lunch special- More vegetables than beef, I did enjoy the beef w/ginger & green onion. The plate had an ample amount of food, and my appetite was satiated.

Stewed Lamb Noodle Soup w/ Handmade Noodles- The noodles may be handmade, but not per order. I received my bowl of stewed lamb noodle soup within 5 minutes. The soup was hearty & good, but the noodles lacked the chew of freshly handmade noodles. I was also surprised when I first scooped up soup, only to find rice vermicelli. Luckily, the handmade noodles were underneath. I enjoyed the soup, but there should be an asterisk next to handmade, clearly stating not per order.

Service was good. The young gentleman at the register was friendly & hospitable. The wait was minimal for food. Plenty of tables to dine at, parking is at the 99 Ranch Plaza.

Good, could've been great. Handmade noodles made earlier in the day, I find it doesn't warrant more interest than regular noodles at Changan Kitchen. Their lunch special offerings, however, are a bargain, and bargains are slim pickings these days. I look forward to exploring the rest of Changan Kitchen's lunch specials when the opportunity...

Was finally able to give this place a try after hearing about it so much. Who knew that a small restaurant inside a 99 Ranch would be so amazing.

The amount of items on the menu here is incredible and they all look amazing. It was honestly difficult trying to figure out what would be best to eat. Even though they were doing a lunch special, I opted for buying item N13 which was hand pulled noodles with spicy cumin beef.

This dish did not disappoint at all. It was absolutely delicious! For the price you pay and the amount of food you get, I would say it’s definitely worth it. Plus the level of spicy was very good, I found it to be quite pleasant but also still great when coupled with the noodles and beef.

I look forward to coming back here and trying other things...

At first, I drove around the plaza and didn't see it, then I found out that it's located inside 99 Ranch Supermarket, and there are dine-in tables. Many people came to eat after shopping for their groceries and with their shopping carts, this is so convenient! Looking at the menu, I was a bit worried because of the spicy sign listed in front of the dishes, because honestly, I can’t eat too spicy food. Fortunately, it can be adjusted to be slightly spicy, which is really good! I ordered a few signature dishes, Pao Mo Soup with Lamb, Traditional Liang Pi “Cold Noodles”, Chinese Burger with Stewed Pork, and then the Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Noodles with Special Cumin Beef recommended by the staff. This is also the first time I tried Pao Mo Soup with Lamb, and the small noodles inside are really delicious! Love the soup, and the lamb is very tender. It is a dish that you will want to eat again! Although I have eaten different Liang Pi in many other restaurants, this one is my favorite, because it is very chewy! The meat inside Chinese Burger is very tasty, and a perfect mix of the fat and lean pork. I am also a noodle lover, so I personally think this restaurant did a really great job on all the noodle dishes! Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Noodles with Cumin Beef is amazing! Hopefully I can try other dishes next time!

一開始繞了廣場一圈沒看到，然後才發現在大華超市裡面，有堂食桌子且空間頗大，有很多人買完菜推著車就順便來吃飯了，這樣也挺方便的！看著菜單一堆的辣椒標示有點嚇到，因為說實在的我不是很能吃辣，還好都可以調整成微辣，真的是太好了！點了幾個招牌菜色，羊肉泡饃、傳統涼皮、經典膳汁肉夾饃，然後還有店員推薦的孜然牛肉炒拉條子。這也是我首次吃羊肉泡饃，裡面的小麵條真的是太好吃了！而且湯汁非常的清香，羊肉也很嫩，是一道會想要再來吃的菜！雖然在很多其他的店，也吃過不同風味的涼皮，但這家真的是最符合我口味的，因為它的涼皮非常有嚼勁!...
