A True Gem for Italian Food Lovers!
Gargaro's Italian bakery in Arvada is hands down the best Italian takeout in Colorado! As a devoted patron for over 30 years, I can confidently say that this place is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets.
If you want to experience their mouthwatering dishes, I highly recommend coming in early, especially during peak times when it becomes a contractor hotspot. Trust me, when the local experts flock here, you know it's something special.
Now, let's talk about their Italian calzone with sausage and their amazing sauce. Oh boy, it's a flavor explosion! The calzone is perfectly baked, with a delightful crispy exterior that gives way to a savory, cheesy, and sausage-filled center. And that sauce! It's a blend of flavors that complements the calzone so well, taking it to another level of deliciousness.
But don't limit yourself to just the calzone – Gargaro's offers a wide variety of authentic Italian delights that will satisfy every craving. From their amazing pasta dishes to their delectable desserts, their menu is a home style culinary journey you won't want to miss.
The ambiance of Gargaro's is cozy and inviting, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Whether you're a long-time regular or a first-time visitor, they make you feel like family, adding a personal touch to your experience.
If you're a true Italian food lover seeking an extraordinary takeout experience, Gargaro's Italian bakery is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to indulge in flavors that will transport you straight to Italy. Five stars are not enough to express how much I adore this place. Grazie, Gargaro's, for being a culinary treasure...
Read moreI have driven by this place probably 200 times in my life and never realized it was a restaurant. When I discovered that it was, I had to try it as I have lived not far for a long time (and on the west side of town my entire life) and never knew it existed. It was great.
Definitely has its own vibe. I love that they open at 10 and close when they sell out. Something about not being so rigid is refreshing to see. The woman working the counter was extremely nice (and may or may not have paid for my Cannoli for it being my first visit).
Immediately you see that they have baked goods in the display. They also have other treats like pasta salad and soda. they also sell pasta sauce and fresh baked bread. I went with the meatball sub with cheese and peppers which was fantastic. It came with Lay's potato chips, and I had a can of coke with it. I also got a slice of the banana bread which didn't last long.
This place was great. A hidden gem. Simple but delicious food. A local secret of simplicity and great food. You can't really beat a place like this, and I am glad I found it.
Speaking of finding it, may I recommend some additional signage? I mean it when I say I have driven this section of Marshall hundreds of times in my life and had no idea this place was even a restaurant.
Anyway, great...
Read moreThis unexpected Italian restaurant in an unexpecting location that is a rare find. This is a family-run restaurant. Parents and daughter run the restaurant. Also, it's only carry-out.
I did the Sausage & Pepper Sandwich and Cannoli. The sausage was giant and had great flavor with a bit of kick of spice. The peppers were not bitter or hot and provided a great balance. I'm not a big bread guy, but the bread was perfect for this sandwich.
The Cannoli is about the size of my thumb, but don't let the small size fool you. That small treat isn't overly sweet but provides a lot of flavors. The flavors meld together perfectly, from the hint of lemon and cinnamon to the crisp outer shell.
I heard from a local that's a regular that Gargaro's has the best Chicken Noodle Soup, and that's what he was getting that day. But it's only available in the Fall and Winter. Based on my first experience to Gargaro's, I expect the soup to be wonderful.
I will be going back...
