Pier 8 Cajun Seafood & Bar in Arvada — Restaurant in Arvada

My husband wanted crawfish and boy did he eat well. I had the Shrimp Po Boy and all meals did not disappoint. Definitely going back. Staff was really nice too.

NEW UPDATE as I was really disappointed in how a situation was handled after we ordered takeout to be delivered to us via a delivery service.

Normally we would visit a restaurant like this but we were not able to get there and decided to order it in because we really liked the food from there.

Our delivery came and was missing half the order, the main part of the order, and we contacted the driver to inform them. The driver informed us that this was the only bag they provided to him and suggested I contact the restaurant since it's their responsibility to make sure the drivers are getting all items since they cannot check the bags.

I called the restaurant and they confirmed a second bag was sitting in the back and they forgot to give to the driver, but it wasn't the mistake that was upsetting, it was the lack of caring that it was their mistake and resolving it. The attitude was more like "oh well, whoops" and lots of giggles about it. When the person on the phone talked to their manager, it was still the same attitude, like, what do you want me to do.

It was clearly them at fault and they brushed it off like whatever. A little advice, be more professional and better at customer service because that is how you lose business. I know we will be looking elsewhere for Cajun food just...

We went on Tuesday, Feb 13th. The restaurant was full but no waiting. We were seated at 6pm, and didn’t receive our entree’s until 7:20 pm.

The appetizer came immediately and was hot, but overcooked. (Calamari) After waiting an hour for entree’s, the fries were cold and everything else was warm at best…… except the catfish, which was hot and overcooked. I guess that was the hold up. The server immediately reordered the loaded fries and it came out within a minute and it was also cold.

We struggled to get a refill and when the pier 8 hurricane finally showed up, it was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it, but honestly I think it was made wrong.

The server was doing way too many things, he couldn’t focus, he couldn’t remember, the drink menu was stapled together with pages up side down, when we told the server he said the real ones were on order…. The server did however remove the catfish entree from the bill although he should have. The bill was $98 dollars for 2 when it was all said-and-done. I left $120 dollars cash and when he asked if I needed change, I said no. He scooped up the money and the bill and shoved it into his front jeans pocket. I could only think how tacky. The sign out front said “Grand opening” there was not enough help, the servers had too many tables, you would think they would be over staffed during a grand opening. Went to Pier 8 in Arvada for a late lunch. This restaurant is AMAZING if you are a seafood lover or if you are having a craving for seafood. The restaurant was very clean and smelled very clean. The restaurant was spacious with lots of room between tables . There are booths , tables and bar side seating and you can eat outside on the patio tables with umbrellas . There are plenty of televisions to watch if that’s how you roll. The service was excellent by Drew. He made the first experience there an unforgettable one with his super friendly personality, knowledge of the menu and food , and his upbeat swift service, moreover his considerate way of checking to make sure everything was as it should be. There are several ways to eat. Meaning all you can eat , plates , platters , baskets . There’s an option to fit your appetite and craving. We had the all you can eat option. I’m a big eater for a girl and I never made it to a second round. Even with this option there is dessert. And omg the beignets and the lime berry cake was delicious! The food tasted like it was cooked straight from the ocean. I’m very picky and this venue , from the service from Drew the bartender , the atmosphere, the spacious dining, the cleanliness , the odor and the food checked all of my boxes with excellent scores.
