Won’t be going back. They’re too busy to provide reasonable service or get your order right, much less care about their customers’ experience. To start, they almost gave our table away because we were waiting in our car parked directly in front of their door instead of waiting outside in the wind and cold with the other waiting patrons. Their place is so small and crowded, there’s nowhere to wait inside. Next, the server who came to take our order hurriedly attempted to take our order. I let her know we were still looking at the menu so she moves on to the next table and makes some rude comments to the people at the table next to us. Apparently, taking more than a minute to look at a menu to a restaurant that you’ve only been to once before is unacceptable. When the server finally came back, she grabbed a CRAYON from a neighboring table to take our order because she misplaced her pen. That should have been our clue. Anyways, we ordered two items; a strawberry crepe and an omelet. We requested ingredient substitutions on the omelet which we were assured was not problem. Well, it was. The omelet was missing two of the four ingredients. I made several attempts to get the server’s attention, the table buser’s attention, and the hostess’s/ owner’s attention to no avail. The server never did check on us to see how our food was. The next time we saw her, she brought back someone else’s credit card and receipt (at least she had a pen this time). I let her know that it wasn’t ours and she scurried to the next table even though I tried to let her know there was a problem with the meal. Again... to busy to care. She told me to wait and I let her know that sure, I could keep waiting.... She eventually came back and I let her know that the inlet was missing the ham, so she wanted to find the ticket and review the order and I let her know that I knew what I ordered and that the omelet was missing the ham. She offered some lame excuses and explained what she was attempting to do. That’s nice, but how does that correct the problem; COLD food with missing ingredients? So, she scurried away once again only to return with a little plate of diced ham that I was apparently to eat with my COLD omelet. I actually had the chance to let her know that my food was cold, so she took my plate, and returned with my omelet newly warmed in the microwave and the diced ham thrown on top.... I don’t think these guys know what service or an omelet is supposed to look like. So my appetite is dead at this point and I asked to speak with an owner or manager. I don’t like to complain about food because I’m in the Army and I eat MREs when required. So when attempting to explain to the RUDE OWNER, what the problem was, she cut me off and wanted to know what I wanted and what the bottom line was. Cute. I WANT TO FEEL HEARD AND THE SERVICE NEEDS TO IMPROVE. Neither are likely at this hole in the wall joint where the food isn’t that great and THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. You’re better off going to some corporately owned chain restaurant where they know that throwing food at people isn’t the best way to get...
Read moreBeen to this restaurant two times for breakfast. The first experience was great despite it being outdoor seating at the time. Maybe it’s because not many people bothered to give them service in frigid temperatures when they only had outdoor seating available, so we had extra attention. The second time around was possibly the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Waitress was impatient when my party didn’t immediately join me after I was seated. Didn’t get my drink or water for 10 min because the waitress admitted she forgot me. I forgave it because they seemed busy (full tables but no wait time). Our meal was uneventful. Food was good and usually is. No one came to check on us during our meal. Again I forgave this. But when the waitress finally came by (to give us our bill) my friend asked to order a to go for her kids and to order more food for the table. She was impatient about this as well. She asked us to wait in our cars for the To go and that they would bring it out. We said “oh but we wanted to order more food” to which she said very rudely “Are you serious? You want to order more from here?” and then snatched the bill from my friends hand. Again, we would have ordered more earlier but no one ever came to check on us. I understand the idea of asking people who have already finished their food to leave so they could have the table, but we wanted more food and were told no. Even then we hadn’t been there for that long so we felt extremely rushed and unwanted. I hadn’t even finished my drink when she asked us to wait outside. My friend politely said never mind, we paid for our food and left. Not once did the waitress apologize for the inconvenience or thank us for our understanding. As someone who has waitressed and worked in customer service for years, I would never speak to customers with that much attitude or impatience. I love their food but I...
Read moreDined her many times and always had a great experience, from the food to the service. Unfortunately this was not the case today. My mother and I order breakfast, both our hash browns came out cold (not a big deal) and my mothers eggs were scrambled not over medium which she requested, again not a big deal, but we did ask for the eggs to be recooked properly. We ate the food that we had but never got her eggs and the egg on my second benedict was completely raw. After about 25 min and no one checking on us or my mothers eggs we finally decided to just ask for the check. The waitress (again who never checked back after the food was delivered) brought the check at which point I politely apologized about complaining but informed her of the numerous grievances we had with the meal and told her we’ve always had a great experience there. She replied that she took $4 off the meal because we never got my mothers eggs. NOW, this is my real problem, I myself am a server and have been for 25yrs so I’m sympathetic when there are problems but I also understand properly compensating a guest when they’ve had a bad experience. WOW, thank you for taking $4 off the bill and not making us pay for something we never received but never did anything else to compensate us for the fact that we barely ate half our meal cause it was either inedible or we just never got it! So all said and done we payed $27 for two COLD sides of hash browns, one small biscuit with gravy and one egg benedict. If the waitress had done more to acknowledge and done more to remedy the situation I would definitely return but because nothing was done to even acknowledge it wasn’t a pleasant dining experience I probably won’t return and I’m sure all this will fall on def ears. Side note, if the problem is new management this isn’t a...
