Heaven Dragon Arvada — Restaurant in Arvada

Finally ordered from here after coworkers have ranted and raved about it for some time. Not impressed given the hype. We got our meal to go, which was a 45 minute wait. Wasn't too upset about the wait as they were quite busy.

My daughter got pineapple shrimp, which was very delicious. Not overly sweer like other places I've tasted similar dishes. My wife got chicken pan fried noodles. The "soup" it comes with for the noodles was bland and chicken seemed off. Was almost slimy and texture was absolutely disgusting. I got the kung pow chicken extra spicy. It was also bland. Veggies were fresh and tasty however chicken had same gross slimy texture as my wife's meal. We also got the pu pu platter. Flavors were good but entire platter was luke warm and did not seem fresh at all. For how busy they were, I thought food should be fresh and hot.

We ordered our dinner for pickup at 5:30P and had a 6:20P pickup time. I got to the restaurant at 6:20 and the place was seriously backed up. I gave them my order information and waited and waited. I was patient with them, because obviously I wasn't the only one that was waiting. After waiting there for 40 minutes they informed me that they lost my order and asked for all my information... again. I then waited for another 30 minutes for the food to be prepared. Also, while I waited they ran out of one of the items I had ordered. They were going to just let me leave with a half-hearted "sorry" until I asked to speak to a manager. I was given a $30 gift card (1/3 of my bill).

The food was good, and hot but there seems to be a lack of organization/communication. I'll give them another shot and hopefully another star or two since I have to use the $30...

I used to enjoy ordering from this place but within the past month, the quality of the food has declined. It could be that I have experienced some unfortunate preparation or unfocused staff that I would assume is rare. However, the last 2 orders have caused me to pause my loyalty. The previous order I placed lacked cashews (for cashew chicken) and my order tonight definitely lacked the extra vegetables that I requested and paid for. In fact, there were less vegetables as it only contained mushrooms, carrots and a few scattered water chestnuts. There were no snow peas or broccoli that used to come with the order. Did they run out of these ingredients? Regardless, the disappointment when opening this upon arriving at home is more than I can handle or want to deal with. I hope they get back “on...
